I bet you're cross about that. It's a shame you have not bothered to tell us what is cross threaded.

The thread that the driving clutch screws onto measures 6.2mm with my calipers measuring the thread. Confirming it is left hand thread.

Replacing drive side coupler on a Waring HPB300 blender. Threads don't match???

There are not normally any tricks, sometimes they are left hand thread though. More likely if the thread size is really too small then wrong part has been supplied.

Changing the coupler

Lever it off with a screwdriver, it is aluminium and the threads on the ring will break away. Pick them out of the thread on the motor shaft and screw on a new coupling, it will be left hand thread.

My cousinart blender is leaking. It appears that the locking ring may have been screwed in a bit crooked as the rubber washer is not sitting flush and tight. My problem is that the locking ring is so...

sounds like the locking ring is cross threaded. It will be difficult to unscrew, but the only solution is to remove it and put it back on strait. soaking it in hot water may help if there is a dried liquid acting as an adhesive.

Leaks from the bottom of the glass jar. Bought a new gasket and it is worse than ever.

Are you sure you are installing the gasket correctly?

Leaks are usually the result of a misaligned or cross-threaded blender jar base or from the gasket being installed incorrectly. Make sure the gasket is installed between the blade assembly and the screw on base.

If this does not help, please reply or repost.

New gasket installed but jar still leaks...Does gasket go between jar and cutter or between cutter and screw base?

The gasket goes between the plate to which the cutter is mounted and the base of the jar. i.e., atop the cutter and contacting the base of the jar.
