Question about Hobart N50 Stand Mixer
This mixer turns on fine and the beater attachment spins but will not spin or mix when dough etc... are placed inside the bowl. Is this a transmission problem? Or a shaft bearing? Can someone please help me diagnose the problem. Is this an easy fix?
Sounds like the shear pin on the planetary shaft has sheared off. Has the mixer been subjected to a heavy load. Remove the planetary and see if the shear pin is intact otherwise you may have to open up the transmission.
