Question about Samsung RF266ABRS Bottom Freezer Refrigerator French Door
Part number is DA81-01345A. I have the replacement part, but I can't figure out how to install the spring in the door flapper. Has anyone had this problem? Does the flapper need to be removed first? The spring keeps the flapper pointing in the correct direction when the door is opened and closed. Without the spring, the flapper just swings randomly and must be carefully aligned by hand while closing the door.
I am having a similar problem with the spring and the vertical flap. Is there a way to open up the vertical flap? I can't seem to get the spring out and i've already tried all suggestions.

On mine one end of the spring broke off in the hole on the door. It was on top of the hinge so it looked like a pivot pin. I found that this was the second hole for the spring. I pushed the end of the new spring up under the hinge and popped the broke piece of old spring out. Now I could see the 2 holes. You then need to put the spring into each hole. The hole on the flap also needs a white plastic sleeve if that is missing. that goes on the end of the spring and fits into the flap hole. Then the trick part is understanding how the spring works? If you put both ends of the spring in the holes and shut the flap, it now stays in position to close and be flipped open by the guide that swings it open to seal.

SOURCE: FREEZER SOUNDS VERY NOISY
Fridge problem could be the fan is bad or that it is hitting ice. When the noise is kind of a buzzing like it is hitting ice...defrost your unit by unplugging and waiting a day or so for full melt out...then check your door gaskets for cleanliness and good seal.

The lower hinge on each door
may have a door closing cam. It raises the door up ¼ inch when opening and this
assist in closing the door. If it’s wore out and doesn’t work the door may not
seal and the gasket can be damaged. Watch the operation of the door to see if
it rises up when opened.
Leave the door shut and let the magnetic gasket hold the door in place. Put something between the bottom of the door and the floor to hold it in case it slips.
Remove the bracket holding the pin and hinge assembly taking note of order of removal of parts. Slide new cams on. You probably need two.
