Magone bpr40 - How do you remove the Board from Metal back plate. All Screws are now off of board, But still not coming apart.

Great question! Clear and easy to understand! The volume and channel switches likely have a metal "O" ring that screws down on the threaded switch and holds the top of the radio to the housing. Remove the knobs, then use a really small flathead screwdriver, insert it into a notch in the "O" ring and unscrew. Be careful and you should be fine. If not, get it to a radio repair shop.

Monitor function and PTT are often either side by side or on the same key. (Upper or lower portion of key). You may be hitting both or the wrong side of the button. Cheers.

Mt mag one bpr40 uhf 450/470 will receive but will not transmit. green light is on all the time

It probably has "busy channel inhibit" turned on in the menus, and the squelch is open, thus making it think there is a signal on the channel you're trying to use.

My BPR40 transmits to one radio but can't respond ?

Check your PL/DPL settings among the radios. You may not have them programmed the same as one another. PL (aka private line) blocks out other users who do not have the same code as one another. Your radio which receives could be set with no PL code and it receives and hears every thing, so it would hear the other two, but not talk to them if they have a PL code setting.

Another way to check this is typically the dealer who programmed them will have the side button directly under the PTT programmed for Monitor. If you press this button a short press you should temporarily go into "open squelch" and you would be able to hear everything on your frequency. Try pressing this button on one of your "two" radios and see if they can hear the "one" radio. If so, you know it is a programming issue. (provided the button is programmed to Monitor). If pressing the Monitor button does not allow temporary communication, you have another issue.

If the green light on the radio seems to come on and stay on continuously, the radio is in need of repair. (Average flat rate repair on tehese BPR40s are around $79 currently at many repair centers.)

Best regards.

What do the buttons on the bpr 40 do?

Both buttons have a short and a long press function. The button right below the PTT button is typically programmed to short press Monitor, long press Sticky Monitor. The bottom button comes from the factory on scan/nuisance channel delete. The buttons can be custom programmed when the dealer is programming the radio, so these are just a general guess based on the factory default setting. Other options include repeater talkaround, high/low power, volume set, and maybe tight loose squelch.

Best regards.

How do I connect Mag One BPR40 two way radio by Motorola to CP100 two way radio by Motorola? I already had about 8 CP100's and we just got 2 new Mag One's. Thanks.

The Mag One BPR40 is dealer programmable. You have two choices:

1) Reprogram your CP100s to match the new BPR40s. For this you would need to know what the dealer programmed the BPR40s to... OR
2) Take your BPR40s back to the place of purchase and request they reprogram them to match your CP100s. This should be a free service since you just purchased the BPR40s. They will need to know some settings from the CP100s to make the match.

Best regards.

How will i know iF G1 phone has water damage

Remove the back cover and battery of the device. Set the battery aside and look inside the phone. In the lower right hand corner near the gold prongs there is a circle sticker. It will be on the side wall of the device. If the sticker is red, your phone has been exposed to water damage.

Hello,
You can change the squelch setting with the user buttons, You could set a PL or DPL but the other radio's that you talk to will need the same setting.
Go here for the manual:

Extremely weak RF from AKG WMS 60 Hand Held Mic

I don't know what you've tried already to improve the signal level, so i'll list a few things that migt help.

It might help to put new batteries in (with the right voltage) You probably did that already.

There is a GAIN pot on the mic, in the battery compartment under the ring that is screwed onto the mic. When you adjust the GAIN, there will probably be better SN-ratio, but it does'nt change the RF signal

You could also adjust the antennas of the receiver, or try to set a different frequency (depends on which country you live in, in some countries it is illegal to change frequencies) or turn off the SQUELCH on the receiver

If this does'nt help, you could look for a user manual and try to find a solution in it.

There are some other solutions to improve RF signal, but those are quite expensive.
