Question about Husqvarna Designer I

My designer diamond gives me a message that machine needs to rest ,but I have not used it in over 24 hours. I press the ok button but it continues to give me the same message.

When turned on my machine today, I got the message that it was tired. I pressed the ok button when prompted but continued to get same message. I turned it off and tried again but got same message. I've been using this machine for 5 years and have never seen this message. What should I do now?

It is either the motor that needs replacing or the power supply. I've seen both. There is an updated power supply that was recently recommended by Viking. These parts should still be covered by the Manufacturer Warranty (provided you are the original owner and purchased from an Authorized Viking Dealer). Take the machine to an Authorized Viking Dealer. If it is still warranty, you should only be charged for the service/labor for the repair. You can find a local dealer by checking the Viking website at http://www.husqvarnaviking.com/us and going to the Locate a Dealer link.

Yes, have the machine checked out. The noise is probably coming from the belt and is nothing more than an annoyance. Make sure that you inform your technician that it doesn't make the sound for several hours so that he/she will know how to properly test it.

Please take your machine to a qualified technician. A good cleaning can never hurt but a drop of oil in the wrong place may cause your machine to require major repairs. The shaft bearings in this machine require no lubrication and applying machine oil to these bearings may cause them to seize.

SOURCE: designer 1 embroidery problem

If the machine is reading the file to not be found it is probably that the designs are on the floppy but the person sending did not read them to the floppy right. they should have been read thru the softwear.

SOURCE: Designer One "broken thread"

If the upper thread spool is spinning allowing slack to the inlet of the tension assy and the machine gives a broken thread indication shortly afterward, the pre-tension assy needs to be adjusted. If the machine has the original "snap in" tension assy that was in the first generation of Designer 1, have it replaced with the modern "lay in" tension assy. Slack at the spool should never cause a broken thread indication as long at the thread is in the pre-tension assy.
Sulky thread will work as well in a Designer 1 as any other embroidery thread as long as it is properly adjusted.
One thing that you can look for, when the machine is sewing, watch the thread as it passes out of the left hand side of the tension disks. It should exit the disks at the 9 o'clock position. If it starts to drift up to the 10 or 11 position and then you get a broken thread warning, the pre tension must be increased.

I have loaded the 4D software and have communication with my Husquvarna machine through that. I communicate with my Pfaff through the old 3D software on my computer.

Make sure that the red disk (smaller than a floppy) on the underside of your embroidery unit has been removed. Remove and discard the red disk. It is used for shipping purposes only. Joyce

I used can air and blew out the reverse button area. Worked immediately after turning off and back on.

E 1 error message


Make sure you lower the presser foot before continuing the operation.

The foot controller was pressed (or the start/stop button

was pressed if the foot controller is not connected)

and the reverse/reinforcement stitch button
was pressed while the presser foot was raised.

Overload message on my janome 8000


I know you said you have performed the reset sequence, but try these steps and see if the unit goes through the diagnostics correctly.

  • Turn off your Janome MC8000. Wait for a few seconds.

  • Press and hold the "Start," "Reverse" and "Auto lock" buttons at the same time.

  • Release the three buttons once your Janome MC8000 turns on.

  • Locate the plus (+) sign on the machine screen. Press the plus sign when prompted. Wait till you receive a message that says "Test Complete."

  • Turn off the Janome MC8000. Wait for a few seconds.

  • Turn on the Janome MC8000 once again. This will prompt the embroidery machine to conduct a diagnosis. Wait till it finishes the diagnosis and troubleshoots the errors you were encountering before.

Comunication error


Hi,

At first turn the machine off, and then press the start button, reverse button and auto lock button at the same time.

-Turn the machine back on while still pushing the three buttons. After the machine has powered on, release the buttons.

-Press the + sign at the bottom of the screen, continue pressing each + sign as it appears. The machine will display a "Test Complete" message, turn off your machine.

-Wait 5 to 10 seconds before powering your machine back on, your machine will run through a diagnostic test and repair any issues it finds.

If this doesn't work;

Have you set up communication is to the "COM Port" designation within Customizer/Digitizer.

Go to >ScanCard >Communication Settings > choose the COM Port you want to use (find out what COM port the cable's using by going to your Start/task Bar in Windows>Control Panel >System >Hardware >Device Manager >Ports (COM & LPT).
There, you should be able to see what port your cable's using.

What should I do when error message E1 hapend


An "E1" message appears on the panel. Description: The foot controller was pressed (or the start/stop button was pressed if the foot controller is not connected) and the reverse/reinforcement stitch button was pressed while the presser foot is raised.

Lower the presser foot lever before continuing the operation.

Screen comes up but the buttons at the bottom will not respond to touch and the others seem less sensitive also


Ok, turn off the machine, take the power cord off. Wait for a few minutes and replug it. Make sure there's no extension plug connected to it.
Then turn it on and check if the buttons work and it doesn't, check if there's any error message or indicator on the screen.

The machine was accidentally dropped. We started with an E7 error, and now an E3 error message.


E7 means
The start/stop button, reverse/reinforcement stitch button
or the thread cutter button was pressed while no thread
cassette was installed


E3 means
The buttonhole or bar tack stitch was selected and the
start/stop button was pressed while the buttonhole lever
is raised.
(make sure buttonhole lever is in correct position)

If the start/stop button is pressed before the sewing machine is correctly set up or if an operation is performed
incorrectly, an error message appears in the stitch indicator. Follow the instructions that appear.
If you press (Stitch selection key) or do the operation correctly while the error message is displayed, the
message disappears.
