You must remove the fuse from the circuit board to check it. More than likely it's blown. A continuity test while in the circuit will always show the fuse as being good due to feedback through the circuitry.

I bought some beautiful beads for making necklaces etc but some of the holes are just a bit too small for the thread. Is there anything I can do? It seems such a waste not to use them.

Do you have a bead reamer? If you bought a starters jewelry making kit, you might have got one with it. If not, you can buy one for quite a good price. Bead reamers are good for smoothing down rough edges on beads but can also help to enlarge holes on beads.

What do I replace the little red bead with?

I superglued a bead close to the exact same size in it's place and it worked for me. The bead must be round and smooth (w/o any glue residue or hole on exposed surface that the ball touches on) else the movements are a bit jerky and it's hard to control. Hardest part is finding that bead size. Perhaps a bead store?

I have grime in between the two glass panes. How do i dismantle it to clean without damaging it? It seems to be glued

You will probably have to remove the door. On the inside there should be a beading which can be removed very carefully as not to break it. you can then remove the inner pane and clean, Be very careful. run a hair dryer around the beading to warm it up so it becomes flexible. but take great care.
