SOURCE: Fridge smells
Are there any drip channels in the back or bottom of the interior of the unit that may be clogged? These channels collect condensate and feed them to a pan under most refrigerators. I assume you have removed bottom food storage drawers and cleaned inside. Also try open box of baking soda which absorbs odors.

Adjust the temperature control for the freezer to a normal setting. Fast freeze is only for when new products are put in that need to be frozen. This locks the system into a continuous run mode and could be responsible for the freezing condition in the refrigerator section. Check the temperatures with a thermometer as the sensor for the freezer temperature could be bad causing the light to come on.

past rulings under the sale of goods act is that if product has lasted a year, then it is of merchantable quality - you are unlikely to get a full refund or free replacement even if you went to arbitration.
but what was wrong with it that your engineer deemed it to be uneconomic to repair?
remember that finding a good refrigeration technician is not easy

If the appliance is nofrost and new keep the air outlets open do not put food infront of them.this can dramatically effect the performance. If it is an old appliance which runs for a while correctly but this happens check the flap is functioning correctly. You can do it by open the fridge door press the door switch button put your hand to the air outlet if it air comes after a while it funcitons if not that means flap is malfunctioned or blocked.empty the appliance leave doors open for 12 hrs. restart if not function no way change it.
