If it has a multi-link rear suspension that is fitted with rose joints it could be one or more of those.

Mostly in the case of vehicle noise assistants are needed to bounce the car to duplicate the noise while someone is underneath with a stethoscope listening.

Careful inspection with a good light can sometimes show something that has been moving that shouldn't be moving. Such things are often able to be seen by a different coloured line around the object or some rusty-coloured powder.

A vehicle mechanic would hope for a more comprehensive description than "squeak" as an aid to recognising it and locating it. Is it for instance, a rubber, plastic or metal type noise? Is it a noise that is heard only when large bumps are driven over or is it a more rapid jiggly sort of noise?
Accurately describing symptoms by painting a sound picture with words is of invaluable help...

What kind of service at 120000 miles

All of the following:
  1. Change all fluids including coolant, brake fluid, power steering fluid, transmission fluid, and crankcase oil. I would strongly recommend increasing the viscosity of your crankcase oil at this point, and use higher viscosity oil from now on. Change the oil every 3000 miles from now on as well.
  2. Replace oil filter and transmission filter.
  3. OVER-LUBRICATE (really) all lubrication points on the suspension, pushing out and wiping off as much old grease as you can. Inspect all bushings for signs of cracking, wear, or chapping.
  4. Perform a MAJOR TUNE-UP, replacing spark plugs, wires, and coil packs.
  5. Check all brake systems for signs of wear and proper operation.
  6. Re-pack all wheel bearings, inspecting them for excessive wear or failure.
  7. Check front tires for uneven wear. Perform a front-end alignment if there is any uneven wear or cupping on the front tires.
  8. Rotate tires, inspecting wheels for cracks or other damage.
  9. Check all lights and signals for proper operation and full illumination.
  10. Use penetrating oil on the battery connections to eliminate and prevent oxidation of the terminals.
  11. Lubricate all power window mechanisms, door latches, door hinges, and power seat mechanisms.
  12. Lubricate hood release, trunk release, and any other hinges in the vehicle.
  13. Use electric-safe penetrating oil (such as WD-40) on all switches, wiping off excess lubricant.
  14. Go a little crazy with the penetrating oil on anything that moves or pivots, again wiping off any excess.
  15. Tighten anything loose on the interior.
  16. Clean the throttle body using OXYGEN SENSOR SAFE throttle body cleaner (if you're unfamiliar with the correct procedure, look it up or ask me).
  17. Replace the fuel filter.
  18. Add a bottle of FUEL INJECTOR CLEANER to the tank. Don't add any more fuel until the tank is nearly empty.
  19. Check the operation of the shocks/struts, and replace as necessary.
  20. Check for engine codes and correct any identified errors.
That should keep you busy for awhile :) It's worth it.

A message stating service B in 500 miles

Service B means that there is a major service due. Brakes are not related. You will get a break warning light when they are due. The B service includes Oil and filter, Interior dust filter, Tire rotation, check of all the fluids, Lubricate all door and trunk hinges, and engine air filter. Also brake flush every 2 years.

2004 cts cadillac trunk will not open with remote or with button on drivers door.

if you here a clicking sound when you push the remote or the drivers button then the solenoid and fuse are probably o.k. lubricate the trunk lid catch and operate the latch a few times, also check the tension on the trunk itself , it should lift up part of the way by itself, if not 1. lubricate the hinges and move trunk lid up and down. if still bad 2. if it has a tension rod adjust the rod to a stronger setting if it has gas shocks, 3.replace shocks. if no click and fuse is good solenoid may be bad

Rear wiper and Rear defrost not working

jmdevan: There is a harness that runs through that hatch that controls all 3 of these. Either there is a fuse blown to that harness or the harness got disconnected (uhaul??)
Do you have tail/brake/backup lights?
Look in your owners manual and see if there is a common fuse for these 3.
It's got to be one of these 2 problems.
My money is on Uhaul breaking the power to these 3 when connecting the trailer harness.
