Question about Remington MicroScreen DA-307 Electric Shaver

The plastic cover faceplate on the front where the on/off switch and LED indicator lights "pops" off. (you will need a sharp pen knife blade to get into the seam and start this process.) Once the faceplate is removed you will see 4 phillips-head screws that hold the two halves of the body together. Taking the body apart will reveal the two rechargeable batteries, but the bad news is that these were not designed to be replaced and are actually bonded (glued) to the control circuit board.

How to open it was described at a site I found:
To open the case on a Remington DA-307, remove the foil and blades. There are 2 small screws on the side of the cutters. Remove these and pry the top apart. I had to wedge a small screwdriver between the halves to get started. Pinch in the sides of the shaver about midway while continuing to pry and the two mid tabs will release. With the switch side facing up, carefully and forcefully pry it open while twisting the top and bottom in opposite directions. Slip a small screwdriver into the groove that starts just below the side grips and slip it down about 1/2 " and twist. This should release the bottom tabs.* * * * *
I was able to pry it apart this way, and hope to succeed in replacing the 2 batteries, which are AA size 600mAh capacity with solder tabs. They are glued in but can be pried off the circuit board. A small spring fell out of somewhere, I think from under one of the buttons that release the screen head. Will post again if I succeed in replacing batteries and re-assembling.

Usually starts with screws on bottom of shaver where power cord is plugged in. most shavers have soldered in batteries, not an easy replacement.
