Question about HP LaserJet 3600n Printer

Hey, I am really at my last wits with this printer.I have a color LJ 3600N. I received the 10.92.00 error. So i replaced the left and right lever lock. After the repair it worked for like half hour.

So now i am either getting that error or if i leave it off for awhile i can get get passed that error but the black doesn't print. Doesn't anyone have any insight on this?

You replaced the lever locks but did you replace the actual cartridge locks. Chances are either the left or right cartridge lock for the black toner cartridge has broken. Remove the toner cartridge and then lift the transfer belt to the closed position. You should see a lever drop on both left and right side. If the are missing or broken you will need to replace them.

    The left side black lever lock happened to be broken when I received the printer so I did replace the left side lock. The right side appeared to work fine. And while just checking it again all four locks on either side function as expected. Anything else i might be overlooking?

    The only thing that comes to mind is that if you had the main drive off if may not be synced properly, putting the black out of phase. Easy error to make on this printer.

    okay maybe a disassembly of the MDA is my next option. The top gear did feel a little loose when I was aligning everything

i have many times working on this printer and i always experience this problem...i think this problem is disalignment of the main gear...check the gear if its on the alignment and its work for me and the problem never comes back

Cyan is offset about 3/16"


check the locking tabs on the cartridge, sounds like they are not locking down the cartridge.

HP Laserjet 3600n doesn't match screen color


Check the levels for your Magenta cartridge and replace if necessary.

Otherwise, Enter the properties of your printers driver in the control panel and establish if there is any advanced color management being used.

Hp Color LJ 3600 continue. Calibrating


Had a similar problem with a customer's printer. HP tech support had me change out the environmental sensor and the boards, this did not fix problem. In the end we had to get a replacement printer (thankfully the unit was under warranty)

We found that we had a defective cartridge. We returned it. A replacement cartridge did not cause the printer to callibrate continuously.

Check the latch on the right side of the black cartridge. They have a problem with them breaking. There is a new style available.
