You are POOCHED unless JUST maybe pulling the CMOS battery and leaving for day or two drops that setting . NOT likely as that password in BIOS is usually put into NVRAM these days and changing that chip will likely be UNDOABLE unless you have a hot air delsodering station and replacement chip or a tiny chip clip and Prommer . New mother board if it is a PC or Notebook is the certain cure .
Pardon the bad news if it is the true power-on password .

Just as the old saying goes every coin has two sides. A password in your Windows 7 is often said to be first safeguard for computer. You'll find the tips useful, especially when you need to reset Windows 7 password as your password is forgotten or unknown. <br /><br /> Tip 1: Create a Windows 7 password reset disk<br /> <br />In view of the difficulty in remembering passwords, there is a handy feature in Windows 7 to help you create a <a href="http://www.recoverwindowspassword.com/windows-7-password-recovery.htm">Windows 7 password recovery</a> disk in seconds. If you forgot Windows 7 password, you can easily reset your Windows 7 password with the disk. You'll find it's helpful when you forgot password in Windows 7.<br /> <br />Don't know how to create a Windows 7 password reset disk? Just follow the simple guide below:<br /> <br />Requirement: a USB flash drive<br /> <br />Time: Less than one minute<br /> <br />1. Insert the USB flash drive in your computer<br /> <br />2. Click Start button, enter create password reset disk in the search box and press Enter.<br /> <br />3. The Forgotten Password Wizard will come up. Click Next button and follow the wizard within a few clicks.<br /> <br />Notes:<br /> <br />1. Please label the Windows 7 password reset disk and store it in a safe place. Otherwise, others can easily reset your password if he can get the disk in hand.<br /> <br />2. No matter how many times you change your Windows password, you just need to create a Windows 7 password reset disk once.<br /> <br />3. The Windows 7 password reset disk only works for the special Windows 7 account you select, not all your Windows 7 accounts. <br /> <br />Tip 2: Resort to Windows Password Breaker if forgot<br /> <br />If unluckily happens that you no longer remember the password and cannot access PC, you should seek for a reliable Windows password breaker tool at once, instead of feeling frustrated or trying to find an expensive technician. Windows Password Breaker is such a best tool can help you reset Windows 7 password on your own when you <a href="http://www.recoverwindowspassword.com/">forgot Windows password</a>; even your PC is locked.<br /> <br />Requirement: USB flash drive, an accessible computer with a drive (if yours is inaccessible)<br /> <br />Time: Less than 5 minutes<br /> <br />1. Download and install Windows Password Breaker.<br /> <br />2. Burn a bootable CD/DVD or USB flash drive.<br /> <br />3. Boot your PC from CD/DVD or USB.<br /> <br />4. Reset forgotten Windows 7 password to be empty.<br /> <br />5. Log on your Windows 7 PC without password. <br /> <br />Tip 3: Avoid common passwords like "123456"<br /> Considering a password can be easily forgotten, most people like to choose a password that is very easy to remember, while it is also easy to guess, actually. If you look at the hacked list of passwords stored in the Gawker Media user database, you'll be surprised to find many users use identical passwords. The top 10 common passwords are 123456, password, 12345678, lifehack, qwerty, abc123, 111111, monkey, consumer, 12345. Try not to set a password like these common passwords or other similar passwords for your Windows 7 machine.<br /> <br />If you worry about you may forget Windows password, you can create a password reset disk in advance. At that time, if you forgot your Windows password, you can easily perform <a href="http://www.recoverwindowspassword.com/windows-7-password-recovery.htm">Windows 7 password recovery</a> with the created disk.<br />

Forgot my password

Which Password? Bios Password? Hard Drive Password? Windows Welcome Screen User Logon Password?

Which Operating System? Windows XP? Windows Vista? Windows 7?

OK, if you are running Windows 7, Microsoft tightenedsecurity on it so you've got to have a password reset disk which 99% of thepeople who own laptops with windows 7 fail to do. It should be one of thefirst things you do when you buy the laptop. Otherwise, you're faced withreinstalling the Operating System or possibly doing a System Recovery.

If you're on Windows XP or Vista try this:

Turn off the computer, then hit the power button to turn it back on andimmediately start hitting the F8 key repeatedly until you see the Safe Modeoption. Select SAFE MODE and let the computer boot up. When it getsto the User Login screen it will show the Administrator userid and the useridfor which you forgot the password. Sign in as the Administrator (hopefullyyou didn't put a password on it and forgot it too). Once the desktopappears it will look different, the screen will be darker and the icons bigger, but this is normal for safe mode.

Click Start/Control Panel/User Accounts
When the User Accounts screen opens, click on the userid for which you forgotthe password. Select the option to REMOVE PASSWORD.

Reboot your machine.

I forgot my username and password how can override im using windows 7.

Windows 7 allows us to create a Windows password reset disk (USB key) in case that we lost the Win 7 logon password. When we lose the password of Win 7, we can reset a new one with the created disk. The weak point is that you can only create the disk before losing your Windows 7 password. If you do not create that, it could not help.

If you have an available administrator account on your system, you can get your password back easily. Logon Win 7 system with the admin account, and then you can come to the Control Panel and change or delete other accounts' passwords. Just three steps:

Step 1: Click Start -> Control Panel -> Add or remove user accounts

Step 2: Choose the locked administrator account

Step 3: Click Change the password or Remove the password. And then you can change or remove the lost or forgotten password

If you do not have another available administrator account, you could try some third party software. There is plenty of third party software for password recovery on Windows 7 online. all of them are designed to create a Windows password recovery disk. With the disk you can recover your lost Windows 7 password. I highly recommend Windows Password Recovery Tool 3.0 and use it as an example. What you need to do is just three steps (you need another computer to create the disk):

Step 1: Download Windows Password Recovery Tool 3.0

Step 2: Burn a Windows password recovery disk with the software

Step 3: Create Windows 7 password reset disk

I think the most efficient is using third party Windows password recovery software. Have a try.
