Brinks front 4-way combination lock is locked in open position. Absoulutely NOTHING on the internet about this problem. Will never buy another Brinks lock again!!

you should keep buying brinks just buy a diffrint one because all brinks are made of hardend steel which is what they make the armored trucks out of and their bullet proof fire proof and most can withstand 500 pounds of force. my brinks can withstand 1000 pounds of force. plus you can send the lock to brinks and they will replace it free of charge. since your lock is defective they will replace it free of charge. i hope i helped.

There are some instructions here, but generally you go as many times as you like to the left, anticlockwise and stop on your first number, then you go clockwise past your next number twice and stop on it the next time, then you go anticlockwise until you cross your last number once and stop the at your last number, turning clockwise then draws the bolt. The link at the very bottom shows it perfectly.

My brinks 4-dial combination padlock will not open

hi,
sometimes the dial rings slip on these locks and sometimes it is just the spring release is stuck. you can try and spray some lube down into the lock and let it sit for awhile,, try the combo again,, if that does not work then you might consider maybe replacing the lock with something newer and more reliable.
hope this helps,
