Midland 75-785 gets very hot within minutes of powering on

The radio is either stuck in transmit or the RF power output section has a short in it. If there is no RECEIVE audio and the squelch is open, and the radio is not in transmit, the chances are pretty good that the audio power amplifier is shot.

MIdland WR-300/301 Was told by Midland that the reason I can longer get weather reports/alerts is because the crysrtal for weather reporting is bad. Radio Shack person said he needed schematic to find out...

Midland WR 301 Owner Manual

I just finished reading through the owner manual and it didn't say anything about a crystal anywhere. Possibly the setting is incorrect for receiving the weather reports/alerts. Click on the link above and verify you have your setting for weather reports proper.

Need a manual for a Midland XT-26 two way radio. Need to know what battery pack and desktop charger it uses.

Go to Google search Type Midland Tx-26 Owners manual. It should offer it to you.Sometimes it wants you to pay for it, some free. Look at Amazon.com or Ebay also for help.

Receivers complain about squeeling noise from my midland 1001z when I transmit. Is this an RF Gain setting problem?

I had the same (squealing) problem on transmit with the Midland 1001Z when I used it indoors as a base unit. The problem was my power supply: it broke into oscillation when drawing more than 150 mA at 13.8V. The 1001Z draws about 150 mA on Receive, and much more (but only about 900 mA) on Transmit. If using the 1001Z as a base unit, I suggest you power it with a fully-charged car battery indoors, or test your power supply to check if it can't supply the required 1 Amp, approx., on Transmit. It's a GREAT radio, just give it a good power supply. My power supply was defective out of the box, but now I have a good one and get great reports on signal strength and audio quality. Remarkable, for the low price and 3 year warranty. Good luck!

Midland model no. 77-092, bought it used. did not

yeap when the magic smoke is let loose. does it work now? or did leave it alone? there will be a burnt diode, possible burt circuit traces. cb shop temple, tx on yahoo search.. and if lucky thats all and it should work fine. if the traces didn't burn they the audio transistor can get damaged. but most times it will burn the traces..

Look for schematics for a midland cb

daniel, first off, I need a complete model number for the radio info. Midland only made about 40-50 different models over the years. The header calls for a 75-822 and you are asking for a ** 833. The beginning should be a 13 or 75,76,77,78. Let me know the # and i'll be able to get you the proper pinout.
Thanks,,, Mechanic
