Question about Intermatic Hardware & Accessories

1 Answer

There is nothing in the display of my Intermatic Model ST01, even though I substituted a new battery. What could be wrong? Tom

The Intermatic Model ST01 controls the soffit lights on my house. The display was flashing "Battery". I did not have a lithium CR2 battery replacement until today. When I replaced the battery, nothing shows on the display screen. I tried two different new batteries and checked the breaker for that circuit. What is wrong?

Intel self adjusting in-wall timer

Reset timer by holding down on-off button then press and release small round reset button. Then release on-off button. Display should flash 12:00
This timer uses CR2 battery.
If functionality is not restored after new battery and reset, then timer has probably gone bad?

Florescent bulbs are not discontinued.

Incandescent bulbs are being phased out so you can save electricity to run your great-big 600 watt TV....

Or, in a few years from now, you can support the economy and buy another timer:

Buy new EJ600... same keypad as EJ500, except different wiring since neutral wire required

or

Buy ST01 or Ei600 timer: identical wiring to EJ500, same dawn-dusk or programmable options, higher load rating, works with any voltage, CFL, LED etc, different programming steps, different battery.

Ej500 has 1 year wareanty

ST01 has 1 year warranty

Ei600 has 5 year warranty

I am unable to set the auto on and off

If reset does not restore functionality, then timer is bad, or in case of ST01 timer, the CR2 battery may need to be replaced.

1) Timer model and brand are unknown.
Copy following link for ST01 timer:

2) Add a comment and describe timer in detail, and add if this is new installation or older timer that stopped working.

How do I replace batteries in the ST01 series timer

The Intermatic ST01 uses a CR2 3 Volt-DC battery to operate the "click-clack" ON - OFF function of the timer.

In order to change the battery, simply pull down the flap just below small display screen. This is the manual switch that you can push to turn the timer on and off.

Just use your fingernail at the top of the door flap and pull down, it will open up and reveal another small tab. This is the battery holder/tray.

To open this, either use your fingernail or a small flat bladed screwdriver at the top to slide out the battery holder tray.

If you remjove and replace the battery within 30 seconds or less, you won't have to reprogram the time/day/date/year. Otherwise taking longer you'll have to reset the time and date feature of the timer.

Don't worry, the timer remembers your program ON - OFF cycles regardless of whether the battery is in the timer or not.

Hope you find this Very Helpful and best regards!
