It really is hard to find info about taxes online. I mean, articles where the simple language is used and you can understand everything without having a law degree. After winning some money at a casino wasted a ton of time to find an article on CasinoValley.ca which explained if I should pay taxes from the money or not.

How do i sererpate the differnt taxes i charge

In the SETUP options screen, choose tax rates. There you can setup three different tax rates and name them. EX: State Tax: 5%; County Tax: 2.5%; Local Tax: 1%. Then in inventory, choose what items get each tax applied. On customers receipt, each will print on a separate line after subtotal. On most reports, the taxes are totaled separately.

I CANT CHANGE THE TAX RATE

1. Press [AC]
2. Hold [SET/%] key for about 2 seconds
3. Press [TAX+]
4. Input the tax rate
5. Press [SET/%]

The above worked for my MS-80TV. I did have to do it a couple times. I noticed when I did it the time it worked I could see the word "SET" in the display. I think the key might be to hold the set button just until you see the word SET.

Best Wishes!

RE: i would like to change the tax rate on my "grocery tax" button.

Hi.
The 11-05 tells me that this button is not a tax button. It has been labelled incorrectly. File 05 is the department file, so this is just a plain old department button (which is now priced at $9.25).
Do you need the tax to be added manually like that, or do you want it to be automatic. it looks like it has been set to auto at the moment, so it is just using the set tax rate. if you want it to be manual, you will need to add a separate tax button.
