Try restting it by unplugging the tv for a few mins and it should rest to original factory default settings but leave it unplugged 10-15 mins to be sure.

Our receiver (pioneer vsx-405) will not power on. Push the power button once and you get the power stand by light coming on but when you hit the button again the stand by light goes off and nothing comes...

Hello,

Usually a fault like the you ask will indicate a bad transistor in the amplification section. I suspect that the control circuit is sensing a fluctuation in the power supply and going in to protect mode. (assuming that the protect circuit itself is working properly) If a voltage is too high the unit will go in to protect mode to prevent damage to the speakers and the rest of the unit. I would take the unit in to a local repair shop and get a estimate of repair charges. Expect a 60 to 80 dollar repair charge depending on how many parts need to be replaced and what the repair labor rate is in your area.
Good luck...

My Pioneer DEH-2000MP now has the worng AM frequency spacing, ie. rather than tuning in 580AM, it tunes to 576AM and the station is fuzzy. This appears to only effect AM, not FM. Stereo worked fine until...

Get to the set-up menu by pressing the source button until just the clock is displayed, no music just the clock. Now press and hold the "func" button until "Menu" appears. Now scroll thru the various items using the up & down or the side to side buttons. I believe you will find the item for US or Europe or like Alpine reads Area 1 for US and Area 2 for the rest. Good luck.. Mark

Need to install a pioneer cd player to a DEH-1550. Can I please see a diagram?

the easiest way if u still have ur harnest in tacked in ur car go to ur radio store and get a kit and a wire harness kit and match the colors. if u dont first get a volt tester with a light first find ur poewer and constant. constant will turn ur light on auto matic. the power will turn on when u turn ur igintion. once u find them put them aside now the rest of the wires. get a AA baterry and try one wire at a time once u hear a pop thats the first speaker tape it together. and do the rest to the rest of the wires

Pioneer dvd recorder dvr 310

I've seen this problem somewhere before, ran across it on a service call or something and I just can't remember where.. Just getting old I guess.. You should have a "Return" button on the remote. Press it and the "2"... That should allow you to access the unit again. What you've done basically is set the unit up as unit 2 and you could have as many as 3 identical units all operating from the same remote. So, Pioneer, in their infinite wisdom decided to make three specific designation points and allow you to switch the remote to access each one without disturbing the rest... If this doesn't solve the problem you might try calling Pioneer support, 800-421-1404 and they should clearly be able to help. Good Luck Bill
