  • Receivers: 222k and 722k
    1. Ensure the DISH Network remote control is programmed to the desired remote address to operate the DISH Receiver.
    2. Place both the DISH Network remote and the original equipment's remote control on a flat, stable surface.
    3. On the DISH Network remote, press and hold the mode button for your equipment for about three seconds until all of the mode buttons light up, and then release it. Your selected mode button will blink.
    4. Select the type of learning you wish to perform:

I cannot use the DVD play function with the control box I have. The control box which came with the TV is lost can I get a replacement

We would be happy to help you with getting your DISH remote working with DVD player. In order for us to give you a specific code for your DVD player we would need to know the brand. We recommend performing a power scan; this scans the remote for a code that will work with your DVD player. Power scan instructions:

    Step 1:
Press and hold the VCR/DVD mode button until all mode button back lights illuminate, then release.

    Step 2:
Press and release the Power button.

    Step 3:
Press the Up button once a second while pointing the remote at the desiredequipment. If the code for the equipment comes up, the equipment will poweroff.

    Step 4:
Press the pound (#) button. If the code entered is valid for the remote, themode light flashes three times.
After doing the power scan please remember to put the remote back into SATmode. Thanks so much for being a valued DISH Network customer!

Programme remote to work with sony tv

To program your DISH Network remote to your Sony TV you will simply- press and hold the TV Mode button until all the other mode button back lights illuminate, then release.

-Now while the TV mode button is blinking please enter in the remote code 500 which is the remote code for your Sony TV after entering 500 then press the pound (#) key.

-After pressing the # key on the DISH Network remote, the TV mode button should blink 3 times and then turn off completely. This will mean the programming of the DISH remote to your TV has been completed successfully. While still in TV mode try any of the functions on the remote, such as turning the volume up or down on your TV or attempting to press the power button.

-The DISH Network remote should now be programmed to control your TV.

-If the remote code 500 doesn't program the DISH Network remote successfully you can also try each of the following using the same procedures, 000, 590, 640, 502, 002, or 567.

I hope this resolved the issue for you! Please feel free to contact us if you need any additional assistance.

    Turn off every 20 minutes

If you are technology savie then you will have to play around with the menu a little bit, but dish network does have a power saving timer/mode on them. If the timer is not on then it is probably over heating and you will have to call it in. You can find all the timer information in your manual, if you dont have that you can call dishes service line.

Well hello! My name is Becki Barned with Dish Network customer service! the problem that you are having could be the hard drive having some problems. The first thing that you want to do, is to unplug the receiver from the power source. this is actually the first thing that you want to do if your dvr functions mess up like this. Lg lht854 does not work tv sound

Ok your dish network wont play through the LHT854? Which Dish network receiver do you have 211, 311, 625, 612, 722? From the owners manuel for the LHT854 it looks like you can only hook up the audio from another source by an optical cable, so how is the LHT854 hooked up to the dish network receiver?

Need Dish Network Code for Sony DAVHDX275 Audio System

Refer to page 82 in your Dish Network User's Guide......(Make sure Sony system is powered on and in DVD mode with a disc in the player).  Point Dish remote at Sony box -  Hold Aux until all buttons light up at top....press 2 - then STAR button* and then POWER button - then press the up arrow key repeatedly until Sony turns off - press # key to lock in code.
It took me awhile to get it to work....it will only work power, mute, and volume - not dvd play functions. Refer to page 85 to make the Dish remote control the Sony box volume by default.
    Good luck.
