I have an old TRUE refrigerator (S/N 1-160481). How can I find the Model number and replacement compressor part number? Breaker trips immediately when turned on. Reaonably sure the compressor is...

GDM-41 would be the unit model number???
If you want to get a compressor model number that would be on the compressor tag on the compressor itself. I would not bother with a True part number just get the Copeland or Tecumseh number off of the compressor and get a replacement from a local wholesaler. On this old box do not rule out brittle or shorted wires. I haven't had success with converting a box like this to R-134a unless I change the entire condensing unit and would tend to go with an interim replacement like Hot Shot or R-409A or something like that. The box probably won't last long enough to make R-134a conversion viable.

How do i remove the ac condenser on a mazda 3

B3E071161450W02
1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Discharge the refrigerant. (See REFRIGERANT CHARGING.)
3. Remove the splash shield.
4. Remove the A/C drive belt. (See DRIVE BELT REPLACEMENT [LF].)
5. Detach the two wiring harness clamps.
6. Disconnect the magnetic clutch connector.
7. Remove the A/C compressor protector.
8. Disconnect the cooler hose (LO) and cooler hose (HI). Do not allow remaining compressor oil in the refrigerant line to spill. (See Refrigerant Line Removal Note.) (See Refrigerant Line Installation Note.)
Caution • If moisture or foreign material enters the refrigeration cycle, cooling ability will be lowered and abnormal noise or other malfunction could occur. Always plug open fittings immediately after removing any refrigeration cycle parts. 9. Remove the compressor protector.
10. Remove in the order indicated in the table. Do not allow remaining compressor oil in the A/C compressor to spill.
Caution • If moisture or foreign material enters the refrigeration cycle, cooling ability will be lowered and abnormal noise or other malfunction could occur. Always plug open fittings immediately after removing any refrigeration cycle parts.

11. Install in the reverse order of removal.
12. Perform the refrigerant system performance test. (See REFRIGERANT SYSTEM PERFORMANCE TEST.)
A/C Compressor Installation Note 1. When replacing the A/C compressor, remove the following amount of compressor oil from the new A/C compressor.
Amount drained (approx. quantity) • 155 ml {155 cc, 5.24 fl oz} - [compressor oil from old A/C compressor + 15 ml {15 cc, 0.5 fl oz}]

Same problem

I had the same problem. The thing is you need to have the air on while you're recharging it and the compressor won't turn on. I was able to recharge the air by disconnecting the positive battery cable and reconnecting to reset the computer and immediately have someone inside the vehicle turn the air on before the computer can recognize that the refrigerant is too low and disable the compressor again. This will allow for the compressor to turn on and for you to recharge the air. Make sure that you have the replacement refrigerant connected before you turn the ac on so the refrigerant goes in and keeps the compressor on before the computer catches it again.

Check the condenser coil to make sure it is free of any dust, which will cause the compressor to overheat. The fan underneath may still be running, but until the compressor cools down it will not start.
If the unit always immediately begins running when you turn the control off and back on, then it may be you have a bad control. Have a servixe tech look at it, as you cannot repair the control...it's a throw away device.
