SOURCE: No Display

for the HD15 connection you need to set your TV to PC mode

the only thing I can think that you may be doing wrong is that you need to "ACTIVATE" the external outputs on the laptop,as they are not on by default.

To switch video output mode  LCD / CRT (monitor/PC mode) /TV mode plus some dual modes LCD + CRT / LCD + TV

I have found that the overlays used for video playback do not work in the dual modes,  (and I have found that CRT monitor mode is best for connecting to a large TV)

so switch your TV to PC input,  connect your HD15 cable and SWITCH output mode on your laptop (usually Fn F5) press until you get an output,

you will also need to connect audio, so get a phono -> 3.5mm jack plug and plug that in also, and you are ready to rock and roll

SOURCE: No input detected on projector

it sounds like the A/V reciever does not upconvert the component signal to HDMI. Not many do. The Marantz recievers will (SR6001, SR8001, etc..). Also bear in mind that HDMI cables are finicky and may require amplification over a few meters long.

SOURCE: Wireless adapter disconnecting and reconnecting

Try these first:

change channels to 1-6-or 11. Make sure you change all of your wireless computers.

check is to make sure you are NOT using "IEEE 802.1x authentication for this network."

You can find at setting under "Wireless Network Connection1.gif Properties" and then under "Authentication" tab of your network properties.

This particular authentication method is periodically logging you off the network and re-authenticating.

Check the adapter in device manager to make sure that windows is not shutting the adapter down to save power.

Cordless phones and wireless ethernet cards use overlapping frequencies. As a test, you can unplug the AC cords from all the cordless phones in the area and see if it helps.

Are you using the VISTA adapter driver on the disconnecting computer?

All HDMI ports not working on Hitachi 42HDS69 Plasma TV. Coax DOES work.

It sounds as if the HDMI portion of the main board is shot. That is likely a separate module that can be replaced without replacing the entire tv, however the cost is a mystery. Contact the manufacturer and they may be able to advise you of a repair center local to you, or you can search online. Being that it's an older Plasma TV, parts may be scarce and pricey. I have had a main board replaced 3 times on a single TV, though it was an LED LCD instead of Plasma, but it was under warranty, and after the 3rd swap, I got a credit towards a replacement tv. Your situation may be a losing proposition unless the board can be cheaply and easily replaced. If you feel comfortable enough with your own technical skills and can use simple tools (screw driver), you may be able to take the cover off the tv, get the model number for the board (may be printed directly on the circuit board), and order the replacement board online. The board will typically have a few ribbon cables and plastic molex connectors plugged into it, that can be carefully unplugged and reconnected to the new board once it is screwed in. There is probably no greater feeling in the world than fixing something like that without paying a costly repair bill. I wish you the best of luck.

I have a hitachi p50h401 and sound went out. someone said update software how do you do that? Thank You

well if the sound went out it may have only effected 1 output source, What type source are you using, HDMI, RCA, Composite, DVI, VGA with mini adapter? If for example the HDMI, port you are using has simply lost sound to that port, HDMI carries both sound and video so simply moving to HDMI 2 or even 3 may solve this issue. Also i would suspect the cable you are using, HDMI cables are often defective. If you are using coax thru your cable company i would also change that coax from your tv to the hd box.

Best solution to integrate Hitachi P50S602 into my B&K preamp

Hi, That is the best way. That connection allows you to take advantage of the panels audio features like sound leveling. The panel has a digital audio output(optical)which is good. By passing the video with the HDMI is the right thing also, the less connections in HD the less loss. You made the right choice ya Fixya yaself!

Hitachi 42" plasma TV (42PD6600)

IF you are saying that every thing is connected properly check your video cable it could be bad use a new one if that does not rectify your problem it is time to call in the tech you could be having problem in your video circuit but you did not mention if the screen light up with no picture but with sound or it does not light up blank with sound.however there could be two things 1 if the screen lightup with normal sound it could be a leaky ,open, or shorted, transistor or ic in the IF circuit.2 If the screen does not light up and has normal sound it could be a defective horizontal stage.so it is time you take the set to a tech for repairs.good luck.
