Try unplugging the power cord from the wall socket and check that the connection to the blanket is good and not loose. Then plug back into the wall socket and switch on. If error still occurs then there may be a problem with the blanket.

SOURCE: My Sunbeam electric blanket controls

Same problem, but now it is ok.  I emailed Sunbeam and was told that if my blanket was not plugged directly into a wall outlet it was not getting enough power and I needed to plug it into a wall outlet taking these steps:
1) Unplug from the surge protector/extension cord 2) Unplug from the blanket 3) Plug back into the blanket 4) Plug into a wall outlet

Hi. You can locate a Sunbeam Service Centre via http://www.sunbeam.com.au/Pages/Support/Repairers.aspx

You're looking at $64.00 recommended retail.

BTW have you checked that it's not the blanket? Swap the controls over, if the problem follows the control it's the control. If the problem stays on the same side of the blanket, it's the blanket.

Also note Sunbeam has a 3 year warranty on electric blankets. If Date Of Purchase is less than 3 years ago call 1800025059 option 1 to speak to their Customer Service,

SOURCE: sunbeam electric blanket flashing ff

Ok folks. I fixed it. I unplugged and then waited and replugged and started at high or 9 and then it went to FF in 60minutes or a couple of minutes. I scratched my head and tried this fix--instead of starting again at 9 or H I started at level 7. That did it. FF most probably indicates excess current, and the H or 9 probably is too high to set. So unplug -repluf-turn on and dial 7 or lower. It should fix it. Or buy a new one.

1.) Follow the instructions on the flag tag attached to the control cord to reset control.
2.) Check the blanket/mattress pad for visual damage.
3.) If no visual damage is found, unplug the system from wall outlet.
4.) Check that the control is well-connected to the module.
5.) Plug the power cord into the wall outlet.
6.) Set the control to "On".
7.) If the system does not operate after 2 or 3 times trying to reset, disconnect the power cord and contact Sunbeam Consumer Care.

Our dual control Sunbeam electric blanket is 3 months old and is not heating up, however the powere is on both controls

Should have warranty, plug and unplug the connection to blanket several times. if no help call their customer service. You may be able to return it to the store you bought it from and get a replacement. Hopefully, you still have receipt.

The 2 controls to our electric blanket are flashing "FF". What does that mean, plus there's no heat at all from it.

With the Sunbeam blankets that I have owned, FF meant that there was a bad connection somewhere. Have you tried the unplugging and replugging the Controller cord back into the blanket? Make sure it is plugged in GOOD AND TIGHT. If that part is connected as tightly as it can go, you may have a defective element.

Dual control electric blanket doesn't get warm, the controllers just blink

The problem can be caused by a defective heating element in the blanket.

Dual control sunbeam electric blanket, one side is blinking 'E' have disconnected it several times, but still nothing. It was wotking fine the night before. The other control is working fine.

An error has occurred in your unit. Near the power or elsewhere find the reset button and press it. If you done it still error is blinking, check if you can the heater and thermostat of the blanket has a problem. Either a short or open circuit occur.
Thanks for asking.

My husband and i were just recently given the queen size, dual remote heating blanket from you guys. When we try to turn on either of our remotes, it flashes F2 consistently unless unplugged. Is there...

The first link has some info about the F2 code.Apparently it used to be seen as FF but was changed. It is a power problem. It is still the same problem, which is REALLY not good. The next couple of links are forums which people also have the same problem as you.I would seriously get rid of that blanket.I saw someone mention EMF.I know exactly what EMF is and it is not an issue with this blanket at all,and is present in many things.A microwave probably has more, and still is not an issue.Anything that plugs into a wall has some form of EMF present,so do not even worry about it.

One of the controls will not turn on. The cord is

Try swapping the controls and see if the problem stays with the control or the blanket side. In any case I would go on line and contact Sunbeam, they are a very reputable manufacturer and I would be surprised if they do not stand behind the product. You will be able to tell them if it is the control or blanket. If the other side of the blanket gets warm when you switch the controls it is the control if the same side gets warm it is the blanket. If neither side gets warm is is the blanket and control.
Good Luck,
