Question about Swiss Grill Grilling
Did the igniter continuously sparks when the button was pressed?
If it did, the igniter usually has a battery.
Try twisting the igniter button counter clockwise it gain access to a battery compartment
I fixed a CharBroiler grill’s igniter this past weekend by replacing its AA battery.

SOURCE: gas grill ignitors
I recently moved. When the grill arrived to the new home I had to purchase a new propane tank to replace the old one. The grill will not light. For some reason it isn't getting any gas. Any suggestions on what the problem might be?
I tried the obvious... tightening the connections, trying to light it manually etc.

If you hold down the igniter can you smell the gas coming out of the burners.
Have you disconnected the pipe from the barbie to see if the bottle regulator is actually letting gas through.
Turning the gas on in free air with no one smoking or naked fllames near the pipe is ok
You just crack open the valve a turn or two and you should hear and smell it.
If there is gas coming out og the pipe and not out of the burners then the gas control valve in the barbie is at fault and needs replacing

SOURCE: Ignitor Quit Working
Remove the switch and the wire from it as you will have this little switch and a wire push the switch and watch the end of the wire there should be a spark it not you can dog wife check it if you want too. stick the end of the wire to the dog re the wife and push botton if they scream and jump a few feet the switch is good . jus kidding . if it is good just locate the end of the wire so that it is in a more effective position to light the gas,
