Hi Sabir, Your printer can be network in two ways. one is locally connected to a server or to the network hub/router. Even your network is wireless wired using ethernet patch cable it does not make no different. You may use the server CD Rom drive to install the driver for the printer. Just load the CD to the driver and the CD auto run it will look for the printer ip address and just follow what will be at the screen choose postscript driver, then have a test print before you complete the setup. Next go to you PC open an internet browser on the address bar type in the ip address of the konica printer and press enter. There is a public and Administrator, sometimes this will log you in to public you have to log out and log in to administrator the password is 12345678 press enter. Click network tab there you can refined and configure it. The next is how to scan. SMB, Scan to box, scan to ftp and scan to email. I will suggest the best is scan to email. all you and to know is what is the smtp ip address or host name. Sometime host name will not work so to know what is the ip address is go to run in your computer and type cmd press enter. type in ping and the host name of the smtp press enter and the ip address will show, write the ip address and input that to printer web browser. turn on the authentication enter administrator email address and the create valid email address for the printer/ scanner enter to printer /scanner email address. input the user id and the password and click apply. go to scanner input your email address and press scan and see if this will send it to your email address. All setting can be access to the printer/scanner web browser. hope this this info will help you setup your printer/ scanner problem.

How to scan to smb with konica minolta bizhub 250

create a folder on the pc you want to scan to and share the folder on the network. This must be done or the printer will not see the folder. Then register a new SMB user on the bizhub and direct it to that pc's IP and the shared folder.

You are getting a failure sheet. This happens when the scan doesnt go through. I think you are reffering to SMB scanning, which needs to have the following setup on both the MFP and the copier.

Host ID or NAME - IP address or hostname with DNS resolution.

Share Name - This is your SMB share name or folder share name on the remote PC

User Name - This is an account that is configured on the remote PC

Password - This is the password for the account setup on the remote PC.

Some things to keep in mind: Third party firewalls can block the bizhub from writing files.

Set share permissions to full control. (under sharing tab> permissions buttion)

Set NTFS permissions to at least write access. (if you have a "security" tab on the shared folder.

Or, you may see something like "allow network users to change my files" on the sharing tab. This basically does the same under different configuration scenario.

One last thing. If you havent changed anything since the problem started, it is probably just something like an expired password on the account that is setup for the copier.

Good Luck.

Can not make bizhub c252 scanning trough e-mail feature

Can you print to your PC? if yes you know how to assign ip address to the copier. I suggest is to go web browser and type the ip adress of the copier. log in to adminstrator the password 12345678 click network scan you have choices which scanning you want. SMB, ftp scan to email. If choose SMB first you have create Folder to your desktop and name it SMB all upper case and right click sharing and permit everyone . Then back to copier web browser click tab scan and type all the names you want. Scan to e-mail you have to click network and enable the scan to email enter the SMTP leave the port 25 do not change assign a valid email address to copier and enter email address of the administrator user id and the last is the pasword. Note: everytime you visit this page you should enter the password. then click the scn tab and enter all your email address. enjoyprograming!!!

Can't scan to smb

in smb server, create a folder and give all rights, to that folder, if youre in domain, it may need you to use a password, so create a user and password and give rights that user in folder then go youre printer ip address, and add a contact, choose smb and fill in the fields. if error occurs, then choose details and you see whats wrong

Scanning documents

You need to use the Scan to SMB function.
First create a folder, share it over your network.

Go to the MFP and under the scan to SMB enter the IP and path to the folder, enter the ID and password for the computer.

This will scan to the shared folder.
