SOURCE: Can't get itunes to work

The error message “The folder iTunes cannot be found or created”. It was referring to the My Music directory that is usually located in the My Documents folder on the partition containing the operating system. The iTunes software creates an iTunes folder in the My Music directory on first start and if that directory is not accessible it will throw the error message and fail to load.
Since this error is related to the My Music folder it is important to check the directory path of that folder in the Windows Registry. This is best done by using the shortcut [Windows R], typing [regedit] and hitting the [enter] key.
The fastest way of location the two locations that contain path information for the My Music folder is to use the search by pressing [F3] and entering [My Music] in the search box. A click on [Find Next] will start the search and reveal the two locations.
The test computer system did not have path information listed at all. This can be changed by double-clicking the My Music key in the Registry and changing the path to an valid path manually.
The two Registry locations that list the My Music path are the following two:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Shell Folders
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\User Shell Folders
Make sure both point to a valid path on the system. Once the path has been changed iTunes will create the iTunes folder in that location and start up without this error message.

Please back up your registry before doing this. messing in the registry can make your computer stop functioning.

Make sure you follow the correct registry entry.

SOURCE: RCA RT2870 USB won't allow playlists or let me skip folders

I have this same system and it looks like the USB playback is lacking this feature, of switching folders. A workaround is to use shuffle play to jump to one of the last songs in the first folder, then turn off shuffle and skip forward a few songs until you get into the next folder....and so on. Not very good, but for this price I was glad to have USB playback.
Some generic MP3 players will work in the USB port, but they play exactly the same as a USB drive. SO no real solution for this.

SOURCE: recycler folder virus

You don't have a virus, you have the folders without an executeable link. Use windows explorer to delete the files you want to get rid of.

SOURCE: Alpine CDE-102 w/usb port: will not

Hello desoren,

The receiver may not be set to recognize MP3 files.

Press and hold "sound setup" until the unit enters setup mode. Rotate the volume knob to "play mode" and press "enter". Check that the setting is CD/MP3 (not CD/MA), or rotate the volume knob to change the setting to CD/MP3 and press enter again. Press and hold "sound setup" again until the unit exits sound setup.

If the files are still not recognized, I'd try using a different USB drive, a different computer to write the MP3's, and/or a different application to download or rip the original music content.

Hope this helps.

SOURCE: cant transfer music files from computer (through

Hi,

I discovered exactly the same problem. I get an errormessage saying that there are no music-files inside the folder.

I discovered, that creating a ne folder from the Windows-Explorer (not copying, but creating!) I can afterwards store mp3-files inside that are displayed correctly. Even if I ove from the PC-side those mp3-files on the SD-card that are supposed to be invisible, they are also correctly displayed. I assume there is a bug in the camera-software. I have asked Vtech to provide a solution. We will see.

How do you get this thing to play in shuffle mode?

Each MP3 gizmo is different but "shuffle" players are extemely simple and cheap, actually, they are too cheap...
My experience: has two "buttons": play and volume. Press play and they play. They have a function to go fast forward or backward in your "listing" when press continously and change volume. You can't select a specific track.
You can load music files from your computer through USB, can create folders but it won't make difference to your shffle gadget.
I used it in my car's MP3 player and it reconized shuffle player as a simple pendrive, playing tracks and foloders.
If you have some specific question, feel free doing it in comment.
My best advice: better spen some more and buy a decent MP3 player.

What App do I need to install in order to download music from my PC to my Apple iPod shuffle and my smartphone?

For the apple download itunes. That is apples program to put music on their products. If you don't like apple stuff try media monkey. I use media monkey quit a bit for lots of reasons but it will take care of both video and music. Another thing is you won't need to keep music in different places on your computer, like itunes and the my music folder for example, you can just transfer your my music folder to the ipod shuffle with mediamonkey. That's the method I highly recommend in your case as you have apple and android. It will save you a major headache. You don't need to buy the gold product to do what you are asking about here, you can use the free program. Download MediaMonkey 4 1 4 You don't need any special program for you android phone. On the phone you can choose to connect to a computer as a usb media with a usb cable. Then it's copying and pasting you music into your phone from your computer. You just need the cable that probably came with your phone. Plug it into your computer then it should pop up a box on your computer that will open open up the contents of your phone. Open to view folder and you can put the music whereever you want in your phone. Hope this helps.

Where in my psp drive do i savi my music

If i remember correctly when plugging in your psp you should see a few folders in the root. There should be a psp folder. In this folder should be a music folder. This is where you would put the music. You can also organize your music into folders, but the music player may not be able to shuffle the music(if you want to have shuffle on).
So under the X:/psp/music/ folder

I would play around with the audio formats to see which ones work. Im pretty sure .mp3 and .wmp works with the psp.

Hope this helps.

How to charge and download to apple shuffle ipod?

You can charge it with usb cord. Make sure the latest drivers are downloaded for pc to recognize the ipod. Then you can also sync ipod with media player 11 under the sync option.
You can also go to my computer and see your device. Double-click to open the drive. With this window left open, you can then go to music folder and drag and drop the songs from media player to the ipod drive/folder.

Trying to load ipod shuffle

Do you have iTunes installed?? you have to rip the CD to iTunes and then you can sync them to your iPod shuffle. You can get instructions via the manual. iPod Shuffle Manual.
If you want to put music into the iTunes library that you already have on your PC, just go to 'File', then 'Add folder to library' and it will scan that folder and every sub-folder and put the music in the library. Be careful if your songs don't have ID3 tags otherwise iTunes won't be able to work out what they are and your songs will not be catagorized well at all.
