You need gauges to check the freon charge while it's short cycling, could be restricted or low on charge! You might try cleaning the coils and see if it's an air restriction, you have a safety device causing it to shut down and most the time on those its bc they are interchanged!

Ok the motherboard is malfunctioning. Ive observed this exact problem before. Replace the board and all will be normal again. If you keep lettig it click and click it may finally kill that relay that you descibed to me or even worse the compressor itself.

AS A FRIDGE ENGINEER I HAVE COME ACROSS THIS PROBLEM BEFORE IT COULD BE A LOSS OF REFRIGERANT ALTHOUGH THIS WOULD STEADILY WORSEN IN USE,MORE LIKELY THERE IS A BLOCKAGE IN THE SYSTEM STOPPING THE REFRIGERANT REACHING ALL THE PIPEWORK THE CHEAPER FREEZERS USE THE SHELFS AS PART OF THE FREEZING SYSTEM.
THE ONLY SOLUTION IS A COMPRESSOR CHANGE AND REGAS (COSTLY IF NOT COVERED BY WARRANTY/GUARANTEE ETC)

IF FREEZER IS MORE THAN 5 YRS OLD BEST TO SCRAP IT UNFORTUNATELY..

Look inside the fresh food compartment. Behind the temp. control cover is a defrost timer. Yours may have a small opening that you can put a pencil eraser in and turn clockwise. When you do that the refrigerator should begin cooling again. I will be here to help you get your refrigerator going with diagrams and part numbers, Thanks, Sea Breeze

My Daewoo freezer is not working since yesterday, we tried to change the fuse but it just works for 15 seconds then,it stops we don't know why can you help please?

I would think that the compressor is either overheating, or faulty and cutting out on a Thermal overload cut out device fitted to the compressor.
If it is overheating, then it could be due to several problems:
1] Ventilation to the compressor is poor, or blocked.
2] compressor Cooling fan failed ( not fitted on all models)
3] Condensor blocked ( Not fitted on all models) This looks like a small car radiator in the compessor compartment (if fitted?).
Turn the fridge off, and leave it for up to 2 hours to cool, once cool, ensure that the ventilation is good around the compressor compartment, and try it again. If it starts and runs as normal it may have just overheated. If there is a fan fitted in the compressor compartment, then observe if it is working or not when you turn it back on.
If the compressor cuts out again, as you have described, trhen it is more than likely that the compressor has failed and needs replacing.
This is not a job that a novice can do, and will be expensive to have replaced by a Refrigeration engineer.
I hope this helps?

I have a wine chiller which is not refrigerating. The red light in the back is still lite but temperature is 60 degrees and should be 54. I purchased the product in 2007 and wondered if this is an easy fix...

There are many different causes behind machine not cooling. 1. Defrost can be the cause for your refrigerator notcooling problem. To check to see if you have a defrost problem, look in thefreezer to see if there is ice build up on the evaporator cover. (Theevaporator covers are either in the back of the freezer or on the bottom of thefreezer). 2. If the condenser fan (the one under refrigerator) is notworking, the compressor will cut off on the overload. If the evaporator fan isnot running, there will be no airflow to the machine. First walk up to therefrigerator and listen to see if the fans (one in the freezer on one under thebottom) are running. If one is running and the other is not then get to the onethat is not running and see if something is blocking it. If there is nothingblocking it then replace it. 3. Dirty condenser can be the cause for your refrigeratornot cooling problem. If the condenser is dirty, the compressor will cut off onthe overload. If theseparts working correctly, then probably the compressor itself is faulty. You needto replace it. Hope this will help you. Good Luck.

The airconitioner will not work in the cooling or the heating mode ,it starts up ok and the compressor cuts in the fan is working ok.

Hope the compressor getting high amphs due to capacitor weak or loose wiring.Check and replace the capacitor. If still your compressor cuts off, the problem is with your compressor. Thanks.

Kairak modle#krp89s condenser fan and comprssor not comin on

It is possible that your main contactor is defective.,This in connected at the compressor motor and can be detached. This is the starter contactor for the motor . Now check the lines of the fan for continuity. If there is voltage coming to the compresor and not working you will check the contactor and then the motor. get help if you are unable but keep this information for getting a good estimate for the work that your technician gives you. Hope you try this out. Good day

York screw chiller R-22

hi! there;
there are several causes we can consider in tripping of unit on auxillary sensor.the sensor device was designed to cut off source at specific limit of time or load.the over load sensor device was equipted to the main source specially on cmpressor of chiller to protect of burning the motor.
common causes of tripping off unit
1.high current on supply source.you can check this on one common line of compressor.using clamp ammeter.what ever reading you got when unit is running, compare this on rated current on manuals if high ampere was registered.ther is an overload supply the over load sensor will activate and cut off your unit.
a. source of overload is due to obstruction on refrigeration system, filter dryer are clogged,excessi9ve oil on high side.
b. themostat not cycles on,due to poor condensing fan, dirty condenser fin tube,or condeser insufficient cooling effect.
c. bearing, lubrication are not maintained usually on compressor on open type unit,

2. electrical wire and electronic control board short circuited.
a.sometime relay malfunction on cantactor w/c the supply souce intermittent either on one line supplying compressor, the compressor will suffer,it will just hum and trip off,

b.busted capacitor will trip off your unit, due to in the absence of starting motor.
this are common ways unit trip off, so regards and have a nice day,and one thing more don't forget to rate me, thank's

I purchased a water chiller from you the other day for my father, I set it up at his house and within 30 minutes the light came on to say it was at temperature, I have one of these and thought this was...

it sounds like compressor ain't running check to see if any wires during the move got loose.

2nd if you checked the first, and looks o.k. you have a possibly defective relay/overload.

if you change it and still no cooling well your compressors bad.

hope to be of some help.

Clicking noise from compressor and fan runs 24/7

check the grounds to the ref. also check power to the ref. but it sounds like you have a floating ground the only thing else to mke comp.cycle is the relay which is on the comp. itself
