Question about Coby Radio Communications

Open Question

My Coby CEBT-405 bluetooth headset won’t work. It just blinks red the entire time when I try to charge it, and otherwise doesn’t respond to any sort of button press. I think I’ve been scammed but hopefully I’m wrong?

SOURCE: Blinking yellow power led

check at the back of the tower you would find 4 LEDs(small lights) labeled ABCD in a row or you might have 1234 on the front panel. note the status of these LEDs when the problem occurs and check for the solution accordingly on the support.dell. website.

would also suggest to disconnect all the devices (keyboard mouse printers etc.)next time the problem occurs and then try to start the computer

SOURCE: bluetooth headset won't connect in Vista

I had a similar problem. First part of the solution is to disable the headset profile for the headphones. These headphones can't handle both headset and headphone profiles at the same time. Second part of the solution is to make sure that your headphones are on when you activate bluetooth on the computer. For some reason, Vista doesn't like setting up the initial connection on-the-go, so it will just act like its connected and move on. Hope this helps!

SOURCE: Blinking lights no response

I was able to fix this same problem by doing a hard reset, and re-synching with my computer.
To do a hard reset, press the power button and the two center buttons, all at the same time. Hold them down for about 10 seconds - when you let go, the tablet will start trying to synch again. Once you go through the synching steps again, everything should work properly.

SOURCE: The headset keeps blinking a red light

I had this very same issue which was remedied when I unplugged the headset recharging dock for approximately 5 seconds then plugged it back in. After about 10 seconds everything re-synced and was fine after that. -No more blinking.

When I plug up the bluetooth to charge the red light appears then it blinks blue red does that mean it is charging or not because it is not working with phone

That might meaning that's it's draining the residual charge left on the battery, before it can be charged, but if it does this for more than an hour, your battery is "toast".

Sounds like you have a few things going on here that may be a procedural problem. We recommend reviewing your user guide, paying close attention to the "take a good look" and "tips". The link below for the Plantronics Voyager Pro+ should help.

Blinking red while charging? will not turn on when unpluged

On the back of the headset you'll locate the power button. Turn off your headset before charging. It should glow red while it's charging. If it still doesn't come on, it's time to see your retailer about getting it replaced or call Plantronics at 800-544-4460 x5 x5538 for service.

THE CHARGING LIGHT DOESN'T COME ON. I CHARGE IT DAILY BUT WENT ON A TRIP FOR 5 DAYS AND WHEN I RETURNED THE LIGHT WON'T COME ON...RED OR BLUE.

Per Plantronics: The Voyager Pro is not a moisture resistant headset. So if you have worn the headset during work outs or outside in excessive heat it could cause it to fail. The only solution is to have the headset replaced if still under Plantronics one year warranty.

I am not going to solve anything. I have an even worse problem. The headset will not start at all. The red light is on when you charge it but the multifunction button does not respond. I had the headset paired previously with ipod touch 3g. im not sure it's apple or nokia but I feel I was ripped off in London when I bought the headset.

Not working, not charging

Try to juggle the charging port, if it blinks again, then you have a broken charging cord

blinking red and green means the headset is in pairing mode and ready to be connected to your phone. This means it is either the first time you have paired the headset or you have depressed the volume +/- buttons simultaneously for more than 5 seconds. If your phone cannot find the headset, it may be a compatibility issue. Try pairing the headset with a friends phone, possibly a sony ericsson. Good luck.
