Doorbell button is sticking or slightly pressed in. Check to see if cover is installed correctly. It may be on on one side.

If its not that the button stck, it may be a neighbor has a similar unit. You can alter the code to be unique. Open up both the button and the main unit and switch the codes using the pins & connecotr covers. It done on a row of pin sets - Default is usually connectors on 5-6-7 (8 on the main bell unit causes the dingdong to change to a Westminster chime).
With a pair of needle nose pliers pull the connector and set them on different numbers than they were (but your units must match exactly). You must do this on both your main unit and button pieces, When you have a unique code its no longer an issue with the neighbors.

I just opened both the button and the bell and changed the jumpers to different configuration on both. That fixed my issue.

Phantom bell rings on Siemens wirreless door bell chime jsjs-204, I do not have instructions

You may need to change the frequency of the chime. In this model, you need to remove the batteries from the receiver unit and wait for a while. Then replace the batteries. The doorbell unit should automatically set itself to a different frequency once you press the button, which will(hopefully) solve the problem.

It seems impossible to find the instruction manual for the doorbell. But see http://oddsnsods.net/blog/?p=68 who had a similar problem with a different Siemens model, which works on the same principles. (I can't seem to be able to remove the battery from the door bell unit on the jsjs204, but it reset itself after changing the batteries in the receiver).

The doorbell buttons and your receiver must be on the same channel. If you will get out the directions that came with your unit, they will describe the process to go through to reset the specific "codes" for your buttons and receiver.

Check that the dipswitches on the button and the reciever doorbell unit match. Also verify that your battery is not installed the wrong way.
