hi the same for me 1A39 on a 9900, i check everything nothing else to do than to change the print head, in fact it's an active signal send by the head it self.... mean that it's defect ..........good luck ! good forum for help on epson printers : http://www.luminous-landscape.com/forum/index.php

Take all paper out uninstall software and reistall
