If you happen to have a mobile phone with IR feature, you can download a remote control app and set it for you TV.

SOURCE: How to acess set-up menu without factory remote

The manual can be found near the bottom of the Product page for this TV.

From the manual, pg 11 -

If you misplaced your Remote Control you can still access most settings via the MAIN MENU screen when you press both CH UP (8) and DOWN (9) on the TV set. Some features of your TV Set will not be accessible without the Remote Control. If you lost your Remote Control, contact a Sharp Authorized Servicer by calling 1-800-BE-SHARP for a replacement.

Let us know if this fixes it for you.

Try holding down both volume buttons on the front of the set. If the menu comes up use the the volume and channel buttons on the front of the set to navigate in the menu. I hope this helps you.

SOURCE: How do I tune TV channels on my Sharp CX48G4 TV without a remote control? There is no tuning / settings panel on the TV itself which is very strange.

press the preset button on the front panel once then (TV should be on) the on the screen there should be words the likes of (Auto VHF 1 60.00mhz) now the Auto stands for auto tuning VHF stands for its frequency where its going to search the 1 stands for the channel where its going to start with 60.00mghz stands for the lowest signal to which its going to start now that you have understood all that just press the volume up button then it will automaticly locate all your working channels leave till it stops for when does it will start from channel 1 to which I believe that you be able to see the channel working so press the up button on the channel button to check the rest of your channels hope this will solve your problem!

How to get in main menu on sharp lc-37p55e with no remote

Unfortunately, you can't access the menu system without a remote on the LC-37P55E. You'll need to find a universal remote with a Menu button and then you may need to try multiple codes to find one that lets the Menu button work correctly. Since the TV became available at Amazon UK in March 2006, you should look for a remote that was programmed in September 2006 or later to find one that is most likely to work with your TV. Manualslib has a copy of the manual here: https://www.manualslib.com/products/Sharp-Lc-37p55e-3204952.html .

I wish that I had better news for you.

How to reset a sharp aquos lc4d62u without a remote

You can use the 'menu' button on the panel (next to power on my model) to bring up the 'Initial Setup' screen. The factory reset option is available from that menu. You'll need to navigate through the menus using the channel up down buttons and the enter button on the front of the TV.

You can't without the factory remote. You can probably pick one up on ebay though on the cheap.

My Sharp Remote Control Is Suddenly Stop Working

Ok I just dealt with the Sharp customer support for this problem.

1) You need to unplug the TV for 1 full minute and remove the batteries from your remote aswell (this will reset the system)
2) Hold the power button on the remote for 30 seconds with the batteries still out of the remote and the TV still unplugged
3) After the 30 seconds replace batteries then press every button on the remote beginning with the power button in order from left to right and top to bottom (same way you read)
4) Then plug your tv back in and try the remote again.... and the remote and TV should be back in sync.

Lcd screen does not stay on.

Not really a solution, but a workaround. You can enter public mode menu and disable power off by power button. Hold the remote in one hand (you'll need it later), and with the other hand maintain "volume " and "input" buttons on the TV, and press the power button. Maintain the power button depressed otherwise the TV will power off. You can release the other buttons. The TV should display a "Public mode" dialog box where you can input a 3-digit password. Enter "027" with the remote. The TV should display the public mode menu. It is operated with the cursor arrows of the remote. Highlight the "power on fixed" item. Change it to "fixed". Then highlight "execute" and press OK on the remote. You should now be able to release the power button without turning off the TV.
In Sharp's own words :
In "Fixed" setting, the power-off by the power key of the unit is invalidated and the image is kept being received. The power can be turned off by stopping the power supply from AC.
Note that you won't be able to turn the TV off with the remote either.
Also, if you wish to enter public mode menu again, you will have to disconnect and reconnect the power cord on the back of the TV while maintaining "volume " and "input" buttons depressed, because the power button is no longer operating.

I have a Sharp LC40LE511E. There is some sort of fault and I don't know what it is? Blinking LED lights, no picture. So, when plugged in, the power LED is red as it should be on standby. Press on button either on the TV or on the remote, and it flashes green as if it is about to come on, then it flashes back to red, and then blinks between green and red until unplugged. I have shined lights up close, but the pixels seem completely off so I don't think it's the backlights. It could be the backlights if the TV somehow knows and is preventing them from turning on, but it just doesn't feel like that's the problem. All the capacitors are fine, and in fact, all the boards and components look in quite good condition. As it is flashing green and red, I figured it could be a reset issue. The previous owner had no remote so perhaps they kept over pressing certain buttons on the TV it's self, causing some sort of crash. So, I have tried the old unplug, volume down and channel up, plug in, turn on etc. Nothing happened. Not sure if that was the right way round for this model but it seems to be the standard reset for all of them. Yes there are slightly different variations, but that is the only one I have tried, both with the onboard buttons, and the new remote buttons. The remote is legit and seems to work perfectly fine. Tried asking the justanswer.com people, and never got a direct response re: the actual fault code that blinking red then green, means. If anyone could at least tell me that, I could be on my way to figuring out what is actually wrong with it, or how to reset it. As the pixels seem to be completely off, it may be a power board failure, but then, why would it be teasing me with flashing green? I am perplexed. Any ideas would be much appreciated thanks. It's 109 pound for a new one, so it's really not worth getting anyone to take a look.
