the formulae for the surface area of round disc is

pi * r * r

where pi=3.14 and r =radious of disc= diametre/2

for this 1st u have 2 calculate the radious of the disc that is

180/2=90mm

then convert it to m by dividing 1000 ,so radious=90/1000=0.09 m

finally calculate the area= 3.14 * 0.09 * 0.09=0.025434 sq metres

for 38 disc multiply 38 with the above area that is

0.025434 * 38=0.966492 sq metres

in excel 2007 u can do it more easily by going 2 formulas tab.

Under formla tab click on engineering formula and then convert

here u can convert from mm to m

after converting use the above formula i just told u.

Ex Square with side= 2m

Surface area=side^2

Area : 2 [X^2][=] result is 4 m^2

Circle of radius r=3 cm

Area: Pi* 3[^2]=28.27 cm^2

That works so cleanly to a 3" square and an answer of 54

270 gives a repeating 6.whatever. That's as close as you get in the freebies for what is likely a typo

In the LineIO mode press

In the MathIO mode press

SHIFT [xth-root] 3 right-arrow 5 0 0 0 * 3 / ( 4 * SHIFT [pi]) =

xth-root is the shifted function of the key just below and right of the big round cursor pad.

* is the multiply key

/ is the divide key

pi is the shifted function of the x10^x key in the middle of the bottom row

BTW there's no "square root" in this problem. There's a "cube root" or "third root". Square root is the second root.

Since acre is a measure of area and feet is a measure of distance, you need to calculate the perimeter of a lot with an area of half an acre. Here are the formulas:

1. If the lot is a square (all 4 sides of equal length), multiply the length of one side by 4, to get the # of feet required to walk a half acre piece of land.

2. If the lot is rectangle: (heightx2)+(widthx2).

3. If the lot is a triangle, add up all three sides.

I assume the length of a side is 16 in, and the height of the prism is 23 inches.

**Volume of a prism is V_prism=(Area of base)*(height of prism)**

Area of base is made up of the area of the 6 equilateral triangles with sides =16 inches. The height of such triangles is given by**8*SQRT(3)**.

Hi, a cubic metre is a measure of volume, a square metre is a measure of area. you need to know length and width as well as depth. eg; imagine a cube is 1 metre wide by 1 metre deep by 1 metre high, this is 1 cubic metre, if you sliced this cube into 10cm slices it would cover 10m2. if you sliced it into 5cm slices it would cover 20m2. 'Area; is __L__ength X __W__idth. If one square unit (feet or meters) weighs one weight unit (Lb or Gr) and your weight is 2 weight units, you would have 2 area units. You say the surface area is uneven ... using this methoud would give you an approximate area so there would be some guessing ... I would say on small areas the variataion would be minimal. Larger areas with vide variation in thickness rould be more difficult to accurately figure out.

If this box is a cube, and each side is 15cm long, then each side has an area of 225 square centimeters. Since a cube has 6 sides, your cube's total surface area is 1350 square centimeters. This was a fun change from the normal question... but I don't get what you're trying to do. Thanks for the question.
