If you are able to access menu and channel setup, you can go into autoprogram and it will scan all available channels and store them.
Otherwise you can get a cheap universal or even original replacement remote

You will need three things to get this to start working again.
1. the original remote control that came with your TV.
2. the operating manual that original came with your TV.
3. and the ability to read the operating manual and follow the instructions on setting up the tv channels auto scan.

I don't have a remote control for my RCA TV and it's on channel 2. It needs to be on channel 3 so that It's compatible with my cable box. How do I change the channel without a remote to channel 3. It

U should have a menu button on your tv.If so try to find the channel setup option if you find this you should b able to manually go through your channels to add & delete the channels you want.If not you will have to go out a buy a universal remote.Make sure that it is compatibl to your tv.They should be a list on the back of the remotes pack stating all the brands that the remote is compatible with.I think you should be able to get one for unde 5 dollars.in the pack it should have an instruction manual.some tvs u can set up very easily & some you might have to keep putting in different codes until it works.Hole this could be some help to you.Good luck.

If there is no menu button on your TV's front panel, you can't select this option without its remote control.

I have a SV2000 TV and DVD combo no remote and need to get on channel 3 for the cable to work. ITs on channel 2 then goes to channel 7 and up .Ineed to get it set on Channel 3 and no setting button on tv...

Try going to a store like Walmart and buying just a universal remote and try different remote codes listen in the instruction manual until you can access the menu and do a channel scan. That's really the only solution I can think of.

I previously was hooked to a dish in my old location. I moved and now have cable but lost the remote and can't set up the TV. What to do?

there is a menu button, the channel buttons move you thru the menu...first setup making sure the setting is on cable...if channel 2/3/4 don't autotune in cable lineup, be sure to go back and manually add otherwise you won't be able to watch using dvd or vcr, or play video games

Can you get to inputs on your tv ? I would use these inputs rather than channel 3 because you'll get a better picture using the inputs rather than the tuner. They are in the back Yellow for video and red and white for audio. But without the remote you can go into the menu to see if you can manuel program your channels but most of these sets you can't do that . www.replacementremotes.com might have your remote should you need one . Good luck

Lost Remote

First you want to go press the menu button on the front of the tv. Second, choose channel set. Third, choose add/delete and manually preset each channel. You can try just adding channel 3 if you have cable. This will turn the tv back on and out of game mode...

Channel selection

What you need to do is take the remote, go into the menu, find channel scan and do a channel scan to find all the available stations available on this system. Make sure the TV set is in the cable mode and not antenna mode or you wont get any stations above channel 13.
