Hp laserjet p2055dn blank display

Similiar Blank Display solution from HP web site:

HP LaserJet P3005 Printer Series - Blank Display
ISSUE: Printer has a blank display.
SOLUTION:

Check if the printer is connected directly into a wall outlet. If not directly connected, power off the printer and connect directly to wall outlet.

Disconnect any local or network connection from any device and keep the printer connected with the power cord cable.

Power cycle the printer. If the issue persists, continue with step 4. If the printer powers up to READY, perform the following steps:

Print a configuration page and check the firmware version. If the printer does not have the latest firmware version, upgrade the printers firmware. Click here to see the latest firmware available for your printer at www.hp.com/go/support . Select Download driver and software (and firmware) and type in the product name or select the product from the product category list.

When the firmware upgrade is completed, power cycle the printer and print a configuration page again and check firmware date code, (it should change to the latest version) then power cycle the printer again.

If the printer powers up to READY, plug the local or network cable back in and print a Windows test page by printing from any application.

If the issue persists, continue with step 4 below.

Remove any additional memory DIMM installed (usually the LaserJet P3005N, DN and X come with a 32 MB memory DIMM installed), and any Internal EIO card or internal hard disk installed and then power cycle. If the issue persists, continue with the next step.

Perform a cold reset:

Turn the device off.

Turn the device on. When the memory count begins, press and hold the check button. Continue holding down the check button until all three device control-panel lights flash once and then remain on. This might take up to 10 seconds

After the message SELECT LANGUAGE appears on the display, press the arrow up or arrow down buttons until COLD RESET is highlighted.

Press the check button. The device performs a cold reset and then continues its power-on sequence.

If the issue persists, continue with the remaining steps.

If the printer powers up to READY, test the printer functionality by printing internal pages. Plug the local or network connection in and test the printer from the workstation.

If the issue persists without any internal device installed, the printer will require service.

57.0 error on Hp LaserJet P3005

According to the service manual this is a sub cooling fan error. This fan is on the left side of the printer. 25365811-vovdf0wduqj1a05k1fbz2dih-2-1.jpg

Mem Test Failure Replace Dimm

The biggest problem with the P3005 is the main board. There has been a warranty extension on the P3005 if it is the main board.

it maybe a memory problem too, but unless you added memory, its usually part of the main board.

Hp Laserjet 3005printer increasingly has to be power cycled in order to print anything to it. This started having to be done twice a day now it is up to 5 times a day. Any ideas?

I would start with the formatter.
If the printer is on a network, verify that the JetDirect LED on the formatter is lit.
Print an "event log". See if you are getting an error.

My hp p3005 laserjet it's hanging

Hi,

This is a common problem with that model. It generally means that there is something going on with the formatter assembly. The easiest thing to try first is to remove any cards from the EIO slots

The next few steps will narrow down if the formatter is bad or the print engine itself.

First remove the right cover by sliding it towards the rear of the printer

Then stick something "non metallic" in the hole indicated to press the engine test button. This will tell you if print engine is working (a good thing!)

If you get a page to print out, that means there is something wrong with the formatter and you should have a service technician replace it.

If you don't see a page, be sure you are pressing it in all the way and if there is still nothing, it's time to have a technician come take a look at it.

HP Color LaserJet 4700 Not Booting

Check if fuser and toner cartridge and image transfer belt are properly installed. Also check if covers are properly closed. One more thing, disconnect printer from main power for a couple of minutes and then turn it back on. Hope this helps. Maybe you can tell me what happened before this started(ex. paper jam).

Hp color laserjet 4700

Evening eavotri, -The first thing to do is pull out the EIO card and all of the added memory. -Restart the printer and listen for the fan to come on and see if there are any changes in the boot process. If it boots then starting with the memory reinsert one of the modules and reboot. Repeat the process till you find the culprit. You may find that after reinserting everything its still working. You may have lucked out and just had an EIO card or memory module that had a bad contact or you may have an intermittent fault that will reappear again. If nothing has changed can you give me more details about what you observed or heard during the boot process: - Does the fan come on shortly after you power on? - What displays during the boot process besides the memory check? -You mentioned the last thing you saw; does that mean the LED went blank? Let us know what you find out and don?t forget to rate the posting.
