This unit needs to be serviced. Try replacing the pads with the sponge like pads.Drain the old water and clean up the pan and pump area. Go down to a pool supply store and buy some chlorine tablets and add to the water. In fact, they make these tablets just for the evaporator units. There are 3 states to water, solid, liquid and gas,
. This will get rid of the smell.

I have a Bonaire evaporative air conditioner - 5yrs old and it does not blow out cool enough air.
I have had the batts renewed last year.
The water looks to be flowing down the batts ok and the fan works ok but the air is still not cool enough.
Repair men say it is working ok but when the real hot humig weather comes we will be in the same situation - not cool enough!!!!

My new system gives off a smell of dog urination. What can I do go get rid of it

Most heating& cooling supply centers have a cleaning - deoderizing solution that you can run thru evaporater pads. I'm sorry but I can't think of specific name brands right off but they clean, cut down on mineral build up and deodorize all in one. Also most will ****** algae growth. Thanks.

My clothes come out of the washer smelling fresh and clean. After drying in the dryer, they smell mildewy.

Check for lint buildup in the vent discharge hose/pipe and the inside of the dryer blower housing.
Heavy wet lint buildup will cause a moldy/mildewy smell that you describe.
Heavy lint build up will also increase the drying time, and it is a fire hazzard

The AC is not working now, just blows hot air. When it stopped working there was a different smell coming out. How do I fix it?

Well, if the a/c doesn't work, the smell will be different, because the evaporator (cold) isn't taking the water out of the air. It will smell as if you had just a vent and might smell a little bit mildewy.

Check the charge of r134a in the system, or just go ahead and attempt to charge it with a can of r134a refrigerant and a hose with an a/c quick connector attached available from your local auto parts store or even Walmart.

Follow the instructions and you might be able to have cold air coming out of the vents in a few minutes.

Hopefully, you do not have a fast leak that will let the r134a escape to the atmosphere.

Otherwise, it may be an electrical fuse blown somewhere.

Good luck to you.

your vehicle has a cabin air filter that needs replaced. the smell is going to be from the cabin air filter needing replaced as well as the transmission line leak. however your concern will be fixed with the cabin air filter.

Nor-Lake walk-in cooler water leak

The evaporator drains into pan with a coil from the discharge line. The design is intented to sub-cool the liquid refrigertant as well as evaporate the condensation from the coil. Unfortunately the engineer started as career a shipping clerk and never received any further training.  There isn't enough heat or running time to evaporate the condensation from the coil.
The solution is fairly simple
A plastic tube  drains water out of the evaporator in the pan. You can extend the tube and add a defrost pan handled by your refrigeration wholesaler. Wire it so it is on whenever there is power to the unit.  This should get rid of the excess water. These pans are also used on some self contained coolers and freezers. They come in either 120 volts or 220 volts. kasgirls@tds.net
