Question about Apacer Memory Apacer Audio Steno AU822 MP3 Player

My mp3 doesn't charge

I plugged my mp3 to pc and left it to charge all night. It started to charge. But in the morning when I unplugged it, it hadn't charge almost at all. I could listen to one song (4 minutes) and then it turned off and I couldn't turn it on anymore. How can I get it to charge properly ?

SOURCE: my philips gogear (6 GB) MP3 player is really messed up and i need help

Here's what happened: When you first synced your GoGear to Windows Media Player, you may have set up the automatic sync option. When this option is selected, Windows Media Player will add EVERY song, picture, etc from your Library on your computer to the GoGear. Now, every time you sync you device, it adds every new file from your computer into the GoGear automatically. It will even delete songs from your GoGear that were on there before.

Go into Windows Media Player 11 with your GoGear connected to the computer (it will automatically sync and add new files one last time), move the mouse cursor over to the sync tab; a small black arrow will appear under the word "Sync"; click on the small black arrow and a dropdown menu will appear; select "Portable media device" from the dropdown menu, and another dropdown menu will appear; select "Set Up sync"; a window will appear with some information on your device - uncheck the box that says "Sync this device automatically"; click Finish; This will eliminate the problem of Windows always adding songs/files you don't want into your player.

SOURCE: Won't delete songs

EEK i know what this is , the memory cells or NAND/Flash storage on the mp3 is dying as you cannot delete it , you can try to add an sd/mmc/xd card if your mp3 supports to add and delete songs as it wont be affected it but it wont cure the fact that you cant delete it .

Alternatively you can update the mp3 player firmware by downloading it from the web or you can try to return it under warrently (number in support manual)

As a last resort you can connect it to the pc right click it and press format this will erase all data /everything on your mp3.

Good morning, afternoon, evening or night; whatever time of day you are viewing this post. Thank you for choosing FixYa to assist you with your problem. Your MP3 Player has been exposed to water, then it gets lost, you find it and immediately plug it into your computer for it to charge and start working again, then it shuts off after you unplug it from the PC. I don't know if you know this or ever read it in user manuals, but they tell you not to expose your electronic device to liquid substances. This can cause product failure as well as harm to yourself or others. I'm surprised it's still working when you plugged it into the computer. I had a flash drive that went through the same experience as your MP3 player: got lost and was exposed to rainwater, then was found later and started to work again once it was plugged into the computer. Later on though, the computer failed to recognize it and it eventually stopped working. I'm thinking the situation with your MP3 player is that the battery or a driver controlling battery functioning, is defective due to water exposure. The driver that controls the PC launch up, may not have been exposed to it as much. You could try opening your MP3 player (if it can be opened) and try to drain all the water out of it, then put it back together and try to turn it on again. If that doesn't work, plug your device into the computer and go to the device manager on your PC. If your computer recognizes the device, go to its properties and click the driver tab. Click "Update Driver" to see if a driver update is needed. If the driver is up-to-date, try uninstalling the driver, then reinstalling it again. If your device is not working properly after this. Then the battery, driver or other electronic circuitry inside of your MP3 player is defective. You can try to replace the battery, if it can be, to see if that makes the difference, but I'm pretty sure your MP3 player is defective now. I'm sorry for the inconvenience, but thanks for choosing FixYa to assist you with your problem. Have a good morning, afternoon, evening or night; whatever time of day you are viewing this solution post.

Sansa clip won't charge fully

If you have a phone charger with the same connector, plug in you Clip and leave it overnight. This will fully charge the battery. There is not enough power from the USB port.

BIG problem. PLZ help!!! :(

The Samsung YP-F1 has a reset button located under the black Samsung cover plate. It can be gently removed via a finger nail or mini flat blade screwdriver. Once plate is removed a hole labeled reset will be seen. Use something like a paper clip and press in. MP3 will power down/reset. MP3 data is also retained after reset.
