Question about JVC KD-HDR30 CD Player

JVC In-Dash CD player KD-HDR30

This radio is 1 year and 6 months old and just developed this problem.
The sound in the rear speakers has quit working. Also, the left front speaker drops it’s volume at random times. So basically the only good consent sound is coming from the right front speaker. Today I did take the faceplate off and clean the contacts to no avail. I also pulled the radio out of the dash and disconnect/ reconnected the wiring harness. This did make the front left work better; meaning the sound drop off did not happen as often as before. This head unit seems too new to develop this big of a problem to me. Any suggestions on how to fix this?

My jvc kd-g820 will not produce any sound and not accept cd

try to find the reset a little indent on the face or hole when you remove the face and push in for 2 to 3 secs with a pen or paper clip. Then try your cd again. Still dont work check to see if you have another cd jammed inside and your trying to put two cds at once.

Ok for your no sound problem. a bad speaker, short speaker (one 1 speaker shorts out all will not work cause the radio is in a protective mode), factory amp needs to be turned on, bose system or amplified system in car needs to be rewired to bypass factory amp), buy special car harness to make factory amp compatible with aftermarket radio, late ford models the back speakers are crisscrossed.

Next time please give car info and type of system you got in it so I could narrow down the possible problems a little bit easier.

I would like to know how to hear the sound on my rear speakers how do I do do this I have a KD-A605/KD-R600 model by JVC

To switch from front to rear speakers you need to look for FADER option. It would be under main SOUND menu. That will of course work if you got rear speakers hooked up.

I can't figure out how to adjust the bass on the JVC KD-HDR30.

Hello hawk713, Like with many other JVC receivers, adjusting the bass is done from the "EQ" (equalizer) mode for one or all of 6 presets: ROCK, CLASSIC, JAZZ, HIP HOP, POPS, and USER. To adjust it, select the desired preset mode, use the left/right rocker (on volume control) to scroll to the desired frequency, 60, 150, 400, 1K, 2.4K, 6K, and 15K, and then turn the volume control up/down to set a level from -5 to +5. 60 and 150 adjusts the bass, 400, 1K, and 2.4K adjusts the midrange, and 6K and 15K adjusts the treble. Then you select whichever EQ setting sounds best with the particular music you're playing. Hope this helps.
