To clear margins, you have to hit the return button to find the left margin, then hit margin release and back space to move the margin left or spacebar to move to the right, then hit left margin button to set the new position. Right margin now. Hold spacebar down and find right margin position, hit margin rease and either spacebar to the right or backspace to the left to the new margin position then hit right margin button to set the new position. Tabs now. hit the tab key, when it goes to the first set tab, hit the tab clear key, then hit the tab key again, then tab clear again etc.

I have a Samsung scx 4623fw printner. When I print one page, the machine will send 2nd page following first page causing page 1 jam at exit 2 and p2 jam on exit 1. It happens every time. Can someone h

On the document that you are trying to print, go to the very last word, of the last page.. hold the shift key down & use your down arrow to highlight anything below, no matter how long it may be highlighting white space. Hit your back arrow once. Check the last word for punctuation & spelling, resale your document & try to print again.

A lot of times in the course of 'composing', extra carriage returns or tabs or spaces, are added to the bottom of the document. I have just explained how to clear the second page printing. It may also remove the erroneous codes that may have formed.

Rebooting a printer has the same good effect as rebooting your computing device. It clears up a lot of confusion that has stacked up since the last time you did it.

If you have printed labels with this same printer, you may have part of a label throwing off the paper path. Also make sure that the paper guides in your paper bin or manual feed area are close, but not touching or pinching the paper. This can cause paper to go off of its normal print path.

Good luck.

HOW DO YOU SCAN DOCUMENTS

Hi,
  1. Position the document on your scanner.
  2. On the File menu, click Scan New Document.
  3. In the Scan New Document dialog box, select the options you want.
    • To select additional scanning options, click Preset options, and then click either Create new preset or Edit selected preset.
    • If you want to scan a double-sided page, select the Original is double sided check box.
  4. Click Scan.If you selected the Original is double sided check box, the Scan New Document dialog box reappears as necessary.
  5. If you selected the Original is double sided check box or the Prompt for additional pages check box, click Done to save the file after the last page is scanned.
Note By default, OCR is performed automatically when you scan documents. To turn off this feature, click Scan New Document on the File menu, and then click eitherCreate new preset or Edit selected preset. On the Processing tab of the Preset Options dialog box, clear the Use OCR to recognize the text of the scanned imagecheck box.

I am ask for a cod M2.can u geve me asolution?

Easy one....press stop, then 0, then stop, then 1
so stop,zero,stop,one
You will now be in the service mode so be careful.
Look for the counters tab and press it
You should see a screen with multiple tabs. You are concerned with 2 of them.
First one is "Maintenance" Press this tab.
You will get a list of maintenance items with their preset values and the "count" or pages run on them. Look for any where the count is higher than the setting. If there is one where this is the case then use the arrow key to highlight that counter and clear it to zero with the C key. Be sure you are in the counter column not where the preset is. After you have zeroed any that are over the preset, exit out and turn the machine off then on again. See if M4 is gone. If it is great.
If not then repeat this procedure again but this time instead go to the Consumables tab instead of Maintenance and check the 2 counters in there. One is copy kit and the other waste toner collect. Clear them if they are over the preset. If the waste toner is over and you clear it you should empty the waste toner box or it could back up and damage the machine. The waste toner box is located inside of the plastic "box" on the back lower part of the copier. 2 screws remove the cover and the box just slides out. Be careful not to make a huge mess when emptying the box.
Good Luck

You must hit the carriage return button to find the current position of the left margin, then hit the mar release button and use the backspace key to move the carriage to the new position that you want the margin to be set at, then hit the left margin key to set it. Then move the carriage to the right to find the right mar, hit the mar release key and use the spacebar to move the right mar to the new position you want, then hit thr right mar kay to set it.

I have a IBM Correcting Selectric II and I'm having trouble clearing out the margins. Can you help?

space to the right side of the machine, hold down the tab clear key and hit return.

If the carriage stops partway back, one of the tab stops has rotated too far on the tab bar.

remove the platen and paper pan, go to the stuck stop, rotate it to the rear of the machine to line up with the other tabs
