Firstly, you have to conduct an experienced HVAC professional for the underfloor heating system problem. Replacement can be done if this product is in guaranty period. For future remeber that pre-season maintenance also plays an integral role in avoiding the system failure during the winter, when you need them the most. Moreover, regular maintenance also helps in keeping your energy bills from blowing out of proportion.

Monica, There might be a break in the wire mat, you or a electrician will have to check with a digi multi meter.

Thermostat does not stop heat pump unit

Most of these problems are the program settings on these way overcomplicated thermostats. You will need to re-read the instructions on setting the programs. Or bite the bullet and buy a cheaper and simpler one. If you installed it yourself, make sure the settings on the inside are correct, like gas/electric heat, and 24 volts, stuff like that.
