Question about Computers & Internet
I have a Linksys router model WRT160N v3 since 7/09 but lose my connection from time to time...could this be due to a signal strength issue and how do I check my signal strength over a period of time to see if it falls below a threshold and how to troubleshoot this?
LOSING WIRELESS CONNECTION ?
Make sure the latest wireless card driver is installed in the computer.
Locate the wireless router higher and away from concrete and brick walls, foil insulated walls.
Locate the wireless router away from cordless phones and microwave ovens these can cause interference.
You could be getting interference from other wireless access points or wireless routers in your area. Check the wireless broadcast channels in your area, and select one that is unused or one that has the weakest signal strength.
