Bose lifestyle 38 has power but will not function at all. The display reads Bose Lifestyle - Try to turn on radio and nothing happens. Tried using remote for second zone and the remote display said no signal from media center.

The sub is bad.the power supply inside the sub is your problem. If your unit comes on it could also be a defective dsp pcb in the sub.everything in the sub runs the head unit.If you send to bose they have a 175. flat rate.

It's a system fault from the motherboard.I'm afraid you may need to replace it and in some instances, with the DVD ROM.

Bypass or Reset Bose LifeStyle 38 System V-Chip Password Lock

f64e5a4.jpg

Would you like to bypass, defeat or reset your Bose LifeStyle 38 System Parental V-Chip parental lock? Have you forgotten your V-Chip passcode or password?

If you forget your V-Chip passcode, you can view the locked signal without entering your password.

When your passcode is requested, enter the temporary code 2673. This process temporarily unlocks your system, and you can reset or change the password.

I hope that helps.

I have a Bose lifestyle 38 and whenever I watch a show with a lot of background sound - ie music in a movie or crowds cheering for sports, it overwhelms the voices of the actors or the sports casters. How...

What makes background sound comes out from Bose lifestyle 38 system is because there is jack cable or a cable that has a jack mouth that brings out a mono sound is being inserted..

Mono cables, when inserted inside a wrong input,it's makes the sound comes out with a background noise just like the one you can hear from it now..it seems as if you are not using the right cable for connection..

To resolve these issue, you will need to use the right cable for connection, by doing these, you will get a clearer sound from you Bose lifestyle 38..

Also it can be from the settings inside the Bose lifestyle 38...So you will need to check both sides to resolve this issue..

You will need to use the manual to know the right cable and the right setting for clear volume..

You can download the user's guide from the below link..

Hope it helped.

Bose Lifestyle 48 not responding to remote or manual functions

I hd this same problem a couple of months ago. Disconttect all peripherals (any exterior amps, roommates) plug the power connector and wait for two minutes, while waiting connect the main system. try turning the LS 48 on. If this clears thing turn off the LS 48 and connect the peripheral one at a time testing with each new connection. Happy hunting.

Purchased a Bose Lifestyle 38 demonstration model and can't get it off demo mode now

Unplug the unit for 10 seconds. Plug it back in and repeatedly push the "eject button" until it displays "opening tray". Take out the disc and put in whatever you like.
