Freez coils are so clogged with frost, this blocks the air flow to the fridge from the freezer, this is why freezer is cold and fridge is not, it is the freezer that cools the fridge.

Hi akula, 200 ks to a fridgie, LG appliance, you must be in Australia;) Is it the earth leakage circuit breaker operating. If so, then you have a leakage problem to earth from the heater pad(not quite sure what that is, but this problem will need to be repaired. Am doing some research to see if there is anything that can be done without just getting a new fridge. Back to you soon.

The problem is generally caused by moisture condensing in areas where electricity can then leak to the earthed chassis. Not sure what the heater pad you mention has to do with the refrigeration side of the machine. It is generally a party to auto defrosting the freezer. If the freezer is working, odd that the fridge is not, they use the same compressor. Can you give me the model of the fridge, may help with sorting this out for you

Hi there, Dont give up yet, If your sparky is a bit of a gun, he can probably isolate the part more easily with THIS(click here)

It is a complete service manual for your fridge. It has a schematic for him to work with and hopefully solve the problem for you. LG products are a bit on the entry point side of things, so I dont generally recommend them, I like Westinghouse or Kleenmaid(although more expensive). Good luck with your fridge. Hope you can get it sorted.

My fridge is tripping the power out in my house. do i need a new motor?

It might not be the motor, it could even be the door switch, but first unplug the fridge, disconnect the wires from the motor, insulate them, switch on and see if your house power trips out. If the house does not trip out it is the motor. It is still trips out, look at the wires to the switch and the light and also the thermostat. Good luck and remember to unplug the wall socket whenever checking any circuit.

Where is the main switch to shut off the power in the house? I was vacuuming and the power went out in various areas around my condo. I think I have isolated the breaker and want to change it but I do not...

In some condos/apartments the main breakers are located outside. This is because the meter and incoming service are some distance from the local panel. Perhaps your breaker isn't bad, but the additional load of the vacuum caused it to "trip" Unlike some brands the Bryant don't show a trip indication other than the handle moving. Try turning this breaker completely off, ( if it was tripped, it will click) then turn it back on. If you do locate the main outside, and decide to change the breaker inside, be sure to "lock out" the main disconnect while you're working on the panel.

Ive got a Salton SB 846 bread machine, that i had plenty of breadbaking pleasure.Suddenly the machine trips the main power supply when it is switched on??I have checked each and every wire connection. Can it...

You may want to try plugging in your breadmaker somewhere else in your house that is in a different area and start a program. If you have a bake stage choose that because it will pull lots of power. For example instead of plugging it in a kitchen outlet take into your garage or bathroom and turn it on there. If you still are tripping fuses then the problem is with your bread maker. If it doesn't trip the fuse or main doing that then email then you probably have too many applicances pulling power in your kitchen line that the bread machine was on. My Sebo hoover trips the house mains sockets every time I switch it on, yet doesn't trip the kitchen mains. Have replaced filters/bag to reduce load but still no good. What should I be investigating in the...

It sounds like your vacuum is fine if it works when plugged in the kitchen outlet. It is tripping the breaker switch in the other room because the circuit is overloaded (too many things plugged in this circuit). Try unplugging some things in that room and try your vacuum again.
If it only trips when using one particular outlet, then the outlet should be replaced. I would recommend having an electrician check your wiring out.

Hope this helps

have the neutral power connection on that circuit and back to the main house panel and then have the neutral connection checked at the power companies side also, it sounds like you have a high resistance neutral connection somewhere in the circuit and its looking for another return path due to the high resistance on the line to another feed circuit line to make connection
