Starts and dies right away, intermittent fuel guage

If initial indications sound like a buoy gasoline and extenders and gasoline injection system in the compartments, the problem is in the power feeder wires or in the Bawa-jee or in the combustion chambers of electricity and gasoline. This prevented Mator that it does not appear any kind of Leak of oil and water.
So observed in the case of operating the initial car exhaust fumes if the color was black injection system maintenance problem but if the sky was the color of this is evidence that the oil spill to the combustion chambers.

Can I install on a 20 amp circuit with a 15 amp GFCI plug? The unit says 120 v 6 amp max

Jan 2013
1) Yes. With 6 amps.
It is not purely code, but generally not dangerous.
Most household outlets and switches sold at home center are actually rated 15 amp, and should be on a 15 amp breaker. just don't overload.

2) However if you are running close-to or higher amps than 15 amps, such as space heater (volts x amps = watts), then I would suggest installing 20 amp arc-fault breaker, and protect whole circuit.

I turn on compressor starts working but it turns back of agian

If the motor circuit breaker is popping off as you state, it's either bad or the power supply is inadequate. It's not all that rare for the circuit breakers on electric motors to go bad. When they go bad they either won't reset or pop off at lower and lower amperages. Another cause could be that the motor is essentially trying to pull too much electricity through a line that can't handle it. This would be caused by using too many, to long or too small guage extension cords. Always plug the compressor into an outlet and run longer air lines than use extension cords. On some occasions if you are too far from the breaker box and the lines to the outlet are low guage you can get the same affect.

The engine runs fine but it fails to generate power

Is the on off switch faulty? Short it across its terminals to see. Also do you have a breaker that needs to be reset on that model? Are both the 240 and 110 receptacles inoperable?

Dayton 3W351 generator doesn't generate. Runs fine but no AC output.

The reasons for the generator dose not generate electricity are as follows:
1, the magnetic pole of the generator loses magnetism;
2, the excitation circuit component is damaged or the circuit is broken, short circuit or grounding phenomenon;
3, the exciter brush has bad contact with commutator or the brush frame pressure is insufficient;
4, wrong connection of excitation winding, opposite polarity;
5, poor contact between generator brush and sliding ring, or insufficient brush pressure;
6, broken circuit of generator stator winding or rotor winding;
7, loosening of generator lead wire or poor contact between switch and wire; Fuses, etc.

Engine runs but won't generate any electricity

Sometimes the generator loses the magnetic field that allows it to produce power. Do a Google search on "flashing a generator field". There are many ways to do it, but I would recommend doing some reading before trying it. Your "dead" generator could produce hazardous voltage once it comes back to life.

Also, before trying any of this, make sure the circuit breakers on the generator (if equipped) are not tripped.

Good luck and be careful!
