LG 50 inch tv keeps switching on and off

I'm afraid the power supply is defect, or just any "intelligent" device is generating the IR codes to switch it of and on. Could be an old laptop or a smart phone, with a program to remote control other devices.

LG 50 inch plasma wont power on?

U can chk the fuses in the back but it is poss u have shorted it out and it will need to go in to a TV service company. Mine was about us $ 150 to fix. I touched the satelite wire against the back grill of the tv briefly but this was enough. Dont forget to chk that u r getting power off the power switch it is plugged into. Also if it is plugged into something else chk that this is providing power out as it has fuses too. cheers.

LG plasma 50 inch tv with a fine vertical black line in the center of the screen that runs from the top of the screen to the bottom

Try changing the input device to something you are sure works. Switch off TV manually, switch off power, remove plug and retry after 48 hours. If problem persists, please refer it to a qualified service technician.
