Question about Office Equipment & Supplies
My problem comes from scanning & copy printing only, not from any printing from PC.
A thin line appears in the print copy at the same position of every and any print while scanning and printing. However there is no unwanted mark whtsoever while printing direct from PC. Also, any scanned image when viewed in the monitor the same line additionally appears. The line is in the transverse direction of the scanner light movement. Problem is indicative of the scanner section troubleshooting.
Please help me in getting rid of the line mark from scanning.
Although you didn't specify the scanner model, this solution should work.
If the scanner has a top feeder, open it.
You will see a thin strip of glass, either to the left, or right of the large scanner glass.
There is most likely a small spec of ink, white out, etc on it.
Clean the strip glass with rubbing alcohol and the line should go away.
