If the solution posted by Susan R. (below) fails to work, locate the black power down box under the bed. Check the battery compartment and remove all batteries. If batteries are installed they will prevent a full reset of the box. Unplug the power cord, wait 45 seconds and plug the power cord back in to reset the electronic components. Replace batteries. Now that the error has been wiped from the box's memory, you can now synchronize your remote with the power down box using Susan's instructions below. - Mike V., Antioch, CA

If you've had your bed for more than two years, and the fixes above don't work, your remote has probably gone bad. The company will be 'very happy' to replace it for about $60.00!! I've already had the motor replaced twice - once under warranty and once not. For $3,000 I should NEVER have to pay for anything for this bed. What junk!

My Remote is from 2005. Here is what I had to do:Tempurpedic Remote Control reset instructions:The "learn" button also operates the power-down function of the power down box found under the bed. First, push the learn button for one second. Next, simultaneously push and hold down the "Position 1 Button" and the "Massage On/Off "(circle with the slash across it) buttons. The transmission indicator lamp on the remote will begin to flash slowly then very rapidly. After five-seconds elapses from the start of the rapid flashing sequence, release both buttons. The remote should now be synchronized with the adjustable bed and the adjustable bed operation restored.

Well, that's just great, huh?! For the last week, we've been trying to get one of our remotes to work. We've already replaced the power down box ($40.00 not including shipping because I picked it up) because the batteries exploded and blew the battery compartment door off!! So, thanks for the heads-up. I guess I'll be calling to order a new remote. (I was told by L&P that the power down box had nothing "..at all to do with the operation of the bed.") ****!

Legget and Platt makes the adjustable bed base. Go to their web site http://www.lpadjustablebeds.com/adjustable-bed-base-manuals.asp. Look up the owner and remote control manuals appropriate for your bed, download and save for the future. Follow the instructions for reprogramming the remote control. If you have an old-school bed the ER-95MR remote control manual may be the one to use. The bed will have either a J-box on the bottom of the bed frame or a power-down box that contains two 9-volt batteries. Either box will have a push button (the "learn" button which also operates the power-down function of the power down box). First, push the learn button for one second. Next simultaneously push and hold down the "Flat Button" and the "Head Massage On/Off" buttons. The transmission indicator lamp on the remote will begin to flash slowly then very rapidly. After five-seconds elapses from the start of the rapid flashing sequence release both buttons. The remote should now be synchronized with the adjustable bed and the adjustable bed operation restored.

My friend who has 2 brand new superflex 2000 beds with a 4 way motor and a wried remote is selling them to me for a discounted price.The boxes are still sealed.After searching on the internet,many people have complained about the remote and motor not working.I would be very grateful is anyone who has used or is still using the superflex 2000 with a 4 way motor please share their experience with me.Also some other questions I have are:
1.The newers beds have a reset function on the plug itself,but the older ones especially the 4 way motor ones don't have a reset button.So my question is what does one do if the 4 way motor is stuck?How do you reset it.
2.How many times is a reset required?
3.Also some dealers said that the 4 way motor is not successful on the superflex 2000 and has had alot of issues with it?Is this true?Any real life experience would be extremely useful.

I have a remote for adjustable bed that won't work. I know it is the remote, because I put a new 9V battery in and the red light doesn't come on. Model No:R2-T3. FCC ID: MGB _R2-T (03-680252-03). I see someone posted the same problem and don't see any recommendation to fix or replace it.
