Question about Danby Silhouette DWC512BL Wine Cooler

DANBY 512BL not cooling

Hi
My Danby 512BL was running fine for 4 years. Suddenly the compressor started making loud sounds. Upon checking the rear I found that water cup had nearly overflown. I emptied and restarted. It started working again with compressor and fan both kicking. However the temperature keeps going up to 80s F. Please help.

My danby beverage centre does not cool anymore 3 years old. compressor is hot. fan sounds and appears to work well all coils are clean.

Hi,

Many times a freezer and/or refrigeratordo not work right because of a dirty condenser coil...there are also many otherthings that can go wrong. If you are hearing a clicking or buzzing then check out thelast two tips.

I have a danby premiere model DPAC10071 & the dehumifier now wont fill external tank. every 2-3 minutes it makes a noise kind of like a fog horn way off in the distance(as if its trying to run again,...

it sounds like your compressor is failing to start ... that usually means a bad starting capacitor ... if thats the case it will hum loudly for a few seconds periodically .. thats the compressor trying to start but it cant if the capacitor is bad .. it will stop humming when it gets too hot .. a thermal breaker will turn off the power until it cools back down .. dont let this continue since it will eventually damage the unit ... replace the capacitor .. the capacitor is usually mounted on or near the compressor .. it often has two sections .. one for the fan motor and one for the compressor ... since they are both in one case you have to change them both ,...

My Danby DPAC90061 cools but does not deshumidify. How can I fix it? First year, I had to empty the tank. Last year, there was no water buildup.

Hi,
It sounds like you may have a very small refrigerant leak and the unit is not even cooling like it should, but is still colling enough to keep you cool in the room...does it seem like it runs more then it used too...??? the compressor that is, not the fan...

I need a start relay for a Kenmore (Danby)

Hi, I'd personally just go and put in a aftermarket start relay and overload. Look up part # IC41 or IC81, or even a rco/hs810. it's been a while since I've used them, but they work. Unless the unit is under warranty there's no consiquence. If you have warranty, these parts will void said coverage. Good luck, hope that helps

Loud noise

The compressor fan is making the noise and causing overheating as well. Easy fix. Call Danby with model # and they can figure out correct fan. Part will cost around $10 and is easy to replace. Plug and play with screws. Good luck

There's a loud humming in my danby kegerator after about 25 minutes of being plugged in. Everything was fine for about 2 months. The model number is DKC645BLS. Any ideas would be welcome.

Maybe a locked up compressor...is it cooling at all?

check your owner manual but it should have a 5 year sealed system warranty..
