Question about Turboair TAS-24H Split System Air Conditioner

Turbo air not blowing cold air

We had a service man come out and he added freon to our air conditioner, he also checked for leaks. It blew cold air for about 10 minutes and stopped blowing cold. WHAT COULD BE THE PROBLEM? The filters are clean and everything seems to be working fine except it will not blow cold air.

I don't understand why someone would just add freon to a system.without checking for leak and fixed it .
Only way for refrigerant to loose refrigerant is by a leak .
I think the Technician that way there know the problem but don't want to fixed it because if unit work for 10 minutes and Technician is not around then something is wrong

1995 Buick Century blowing hot air.

A mechanic would check the system with a set of pressure gauges. If the compressor is running, the low side would read around 30psi and the high side would be around 250psi. That is how you know if the system is full of freon or not.
You may have to get a professional diagnosis to proceed. If you replace the compressor, the accumulator needs to be replaced and a vac pump is used to pull all of the air out before the freon is added.

I have central air and I was wondering how do you put freon in it because its not blowing out cool air

Is the compressor starting? On the outdoor unit you will see a large copper pipe and a small copper pipe. Is the larger of the two cold to the touch? wet? Just because a central air system is not blowing cool air does not mean it needs freon. If you have clogged filters it cannot do an air exchange. So, I would recommend checking the easiest things first before adding Freon. Most people make the mistake of adding Freon and overcharge their system. In a low load situation you can slug the compressor with liquid and your system is ruined. If you do have to add Freon it indicates that you have a leak. An AC System is a closed system and if it is working properly you should not have to add Freon.

I have a GE APE08AKM1 portable A/C unit. The first summer it blew cold air.The next summer it was so-so. This summer it just blows It believe it leaked the freon or what ever it uses out. Is it cost...

sounds like it has a very small leak. Unless it can be detected Its

probably not worth it,

unless you have a ser man to add ea. year.

Ac blowing hot air

Sounds like you have a good sized leak in the system. The service man should be able to locate a leak that big. You might be able to locate it yourself. It's more than likely in the outside unit or indoor coil not in the lines that run between them. Look in the outdoor unit and look for any oily spots. The compressor has oil in it and it will show up where there is a leak. Look for any pipes that may be rubbing together as this will rub a hole in a line. Look at the indoor coil looking for the same indications. Hope this helps.

2003 COROLLA S AIR CONDITIONER BLOWS HOT AIR.5 DAYS AGO MECHANIC "CLEANED LINES AND PUT IN FREON" FOR $135.00. STILL BLOWING HOT AIR.

If it blew cold air after freon added and 5 days later blew warm, you may have a leak in the system. Also check and see if compressor comes on if not you may have an electrical issue, relay for compressor, coil on compressor, etc.......

Changed compressor in my 1999 Dodge durango..doesn't blow cold

if there is a sight glass fitted check for bubbles that means it needs more freon or air is in the system or wrong expansion valve which sometimes can be adjusted, check fans if running well

Air conditioner blow warm air after freeon

you could have a leak in the ac system which would be why you had to add freon. take it to a repair shop and ask them to check fo rleaks because adding more freon wont fix your issue if there is a leak.

1995 Chevy Suburban blows cold once charged then hours later hot

Its a leak ...probably concealed like in an evap housing or rear air unit and lines (if it has that). Prob at this juncture I would remove all the freon and bring system into a vaccuum with a pump and see if it will hold vaccum for an extended period of time. A bad leak will not hold srong vacuum very long and much cheaper than wasting expensive and enviromental un0friendly refrigerants.
