Assuming you are not out of oil in your oil reservoir you probably have a bad sending unit in the reservoir. never bypass it or eliminate it as you could permanently damage your motor or ruin it if you ran it out of oil.

How do I remove the oil reservoir from a 1999 Mercury outboard 50 horsepower motor

good idea to remove the alarm rather than fixing the fault
after all you could run out of oil , ruin the motor completely because of the lack of oil and have a long swim home
fix the error in the alarm / sensor and be safe

Our 100hp mercury outboard motor won't stop beeping. It's a beep, beep, beep, beep......sound. The oil tank is full and it beeps the same in the ON position and while running. Any ideas as to why?

This video diagnosed the problem and that the float sensor wasn't working in the reservoir bottle. Replacing the reservoir is the fix.
