Question about Refrigerators
I have a GE side-by-side refrigerator/freezer and have had the same problem with water pooling at the bottom of the freezer and running onto the floor. The solution is easy. There is a drain tube just behind the pull out drawer at the toward the bottom of the freezer. When that tube get's plugged, it does not allow for water to drain out into the drain pan. To solve the problem, first remove any ice build up from the bottom of the freezer and from around the drain tube opening. Then pull the freezer away from the wall and remove the cover from the bottom of the appliance. You will see a drain tube on the bottom right side. This is the tube that is plugged. Simply use a turkey baster to squirt warm water down the tube from the inside of the freezer (or anything that will allow you to squirt water into the drain tube) until water flows from the tube into the drain pan. It usually takes me 3-5 times to clear the line and once it is cleared, I run a little additional water through the line to make sure it's cleaned out well. The repair is simple and only take about 15-20 minutes.

Water is designed to flow into a collection pan. The drain is plugged with some sort of build up. Mine was ice. I took the shelves out of the freezer and unscrewed the middle screw out to back panels. Behind this is the frost/moisture remover. It has a drain at the bottom and if it is plugged with ice it just needs to be melted. I used a hair dryer. Either way a hair dryer will be needed to find out why the drain is plugged. Once the drain is free the problem of water on the floor will go away.

We had the same problem with our 12 year old GE side by side with water leaking into and from the bottom of the freezer. My husband used a wire fish to unclog the drain then flushed it with a little hot water from a turkey baster. Problem solved in less than 5 minutes.

How do i solve it

Normally depending on the model there might be a condens catch tray, if it's full and for some reason condens didn't dry out it will leak underneath.

icemaker is iver filling and running down through the freezer, some of the water runs out into the floor since the door gasket does not provide an water proof seal just an air tight seal
the ice maker can be adjusted, remove the cover off the frount of the icemaker and back the screw on the right side so that the indicator in the middle is twards the minus sign and you need to clear the frozen water out of the freezer drain pan so it can go to the drain pan down at the compressor
it might take a few adjustments on the ice maker to get it right

SOURCE: Water leaking from freezer
During the defrost cycle heaters inside the walls of the freezer turn on to melt the frost. The melted frost "water" is supposed to drain into a pan under the fridge where it will evaporate. I think the drain line from the freezer to this pan may be blocked. I'd also check the seal on the freezer door. If it's not sealing well it lets a lot of moisture into the freezer which means more water during the defrost cycle.
