No you don't have to take it to be serviced. There is a work around for this. It is not an ideal work around but given the low cost of these printers they probably aren't worth spending the money on at a service center.

OK the Fix is, you simply turn OFF BiDirectional printing in the printer driver settings.

The printer will then print correctly.

Also I'm sure if you could obtain the service software for alignment it's probably not beyond the abilities of a back yarder. :)

Hope this helps.

OH, Forgot to mention there is a calibration feature in the printers
console. Try running it a number of times as it seems to have a
cumulative effect. But if this fails, just turn off bi-directional

You have to take the printer to a service dealer. This kind of alignment needed can only be done by service personell by help of special software and tools.

My printer will not print clearly it has lines throught the letters

You need to clean your printer's nozzle. You can do this by going to control panel, look for the option for printer (varies depending on what your operating system is), look for your printer's name and double click on it, look for the maintenance options where you can clean the nozzle and while you're there, you can also perform other maintenance functions like print head alignment, etc.

Black letters are looking like they are printed twice but horizontally slipped by half a millimeter. "I" looks like "II". Color letters are OK. What can I do?

Run the Brother "print-head alignment" utility.

You're getting some colours (mixed to be "almost-black") that are not aligned with the "black". So, you get one black "I" and one almost-black "I", printed "side-by-side", instead of being superimposed.

Brother MFC-440CN USB Printer double prints letters

Did you use Brother Genuine Cartirdges????
ALL…. Epson & Brother Requires Genuine Epson Cartridges. !!!!!!!!
That sounds like your problem.

In Purchasing Epson's CX 5400, CX4600, & CX7400 and more, I found out that Epson does not like Generic Printer Cartridges. I also Purchased a Brother. That also does not like Generic Print Cartridges. Color that should be Yellow, will turn out Green, Blue Brown, etc. These printers have a CHIP that will detect if it is Generic or Genuine.

When they see it’s Generic Cartridges, it will print lines thru the words, mis-align the letters & put stripes across the picture and also do a mix match with the colors.

That's what these Companies do., so they can keep selling the ink cartridges. Some Printers, are able to use Generic, and some are refillable. Some you can refill them up yourself and I heard, quite MESSY.

So I learned, thru trial and error, that you must use the ORIGINAL Genuine Cartridges for these PRINTERS. Some people say some models work fine compatible, but not mine.......

I had to replace the printer, but Epson, Lexmark & Brothers are always on sale. My Brother & Epson cost me $50.00 with Rebate. Don’t waste too much ink in cleaning it.

This is the only advice I can give you. If you find this helpful, pls rate me.

Thanks and Good Luck :0)

2000 Kia timing belt specs

this should be the info your looking for.

remove timing cover, on the left cam sprocket(closer to inside of vehicle) you will see the letter (I)for intake and a notch above it on the valve cover align those marks.Next on the right cam sprocket you will see the letter (E) for exhaust and a notch above it on the valve cover align those marks.Last you have a notch on your crank sprocket, align that notch with the arrow just above it.Align all marks then turn belt to revolutions and see if marks are stilled aligned if not try again until you get it right. If so put everything back together and "happy driving!"

Let me know if you need further assistance ok
