Open Question

I have a hunter 5 +1 + 1 programmable thermostat. i hooked the wire up as follows: green on G, red on RH with the jumper still attached to RC RH, white on WB, and blue on Y1. The air went on fine and seemed to be working ok but when i put the heat on the heat and a/c also went on. Something is not wired correctly. Can you help.

Not working

"G" terminal is for the fan, typically using a green wire. "C" terminal is the common, basically a ground, typically using a blue wire. Also, leave in the jumper between "RH" and "RC".

I bought a Honeywell programmable thermostat RTH2310 to replace my 10 year old Honeywell thermostat. My old thermostat is a 4 wire system but also has a jumper from Y to 1. New system does not tell me what...

It depends on the type of thermostat you have.
Do you have a 4 wire or 5 wire T'stat?
The red jumper wire was for a 5 wire t'stat with 1 transformer, the red jumper actually should have been from R to 1.
So you need to trace the wires back to the furnace and make sure they go to the locations identified below.
if you have a 4 wire t'stat then you don't need that jumper, if you have a 5 wire t'stat then you do need that jumper but it should go from Rh to Rc.
4 Wire Termostat
R = Red One Side of 24 volt Transformer
G = Green Blower
Y = Yellow Cool
W = White Heat
5 Wire Thermostat
with one transformer for both units
Rc One Side of 24 volt Transformer
Rh Jumper Rc to Rh
G = Green Blower
Y = Yellow Cool
W = White Heat
t'stat?

Installing thermostat - extra wire?

you have to go down to your furnace and follow the thermostat wire ...it connects to a terminal strip or fan centre...the color doesn;t really matter...installers mix and match all the time....look at the furnace wiring and mark it down...Red on "R"...Green on "Y" whatever it is...and connect it accordingly upstairs...if you only have 4 thermostat wires downstairs you will need a jumper wire between RH and RC...if you have 5 wires you will see 2 wires on "R" at the furnace.,...and connect either to RH and RC at the thermostat

I have a Red, White, Blue and Green wire , need to wire a Hunter B01 MOdel or 44110 Thermostat has the following ports available G, RC, RH (RC & RH Have a jumper between them), Y/O, W/B, Y/1

From what you describe you have a heat only system with no AC. If that is so, then you would wire it as follows.

Red wire = RC (leave the jumper in place)
Green wire = G
White wire = W/B
Blue wire = is unused because the thermostat is battery powered and does not require a common wire.

I reccomend you consider not using the Hunter T-stat. They are so extremely problem prone and unreliable. You will be much better off with a Honeywell or White Rodgers T-stat.

You will also need to program the Hunter T-stat for your system per the instructions.

Changing a White-Rodgers 1F56-444 to a Hunter 44155c digital.

The W- terminal is for the HEAT RELAY.
Connect the brown and white wire to the WB terminal which is heat relay of the Hunter thermostat.

I have a travel trailer with a roof top a/c colman mach111 and I hooked up a thermostate digital. The heat works but cant get a/c to come on. the termanials on hunter thermostate are G W Y RC RH

OK, the wiring that you should have in your RV is as follows: Red White Blue Yellow Green Gray.

This Thermostat will not work on this Air conditioner because the tstat you are installing is a 24V thermostat. The connections are as follows G = Fan, W = White, Y = Cooling, RC = 24V Cool, RH = 24V. The only thing that I can think to do is hook it up like so.

On the G Terminal, Hook up the Green wire from the wall. On W, hook up the White wire, Y, hook up the yellow wire. RC = run a jumper from the RH terminal, RH = hook up the red wire. If this doesn't work then you will have to go back with the coleman thermostat.

Need help with wiring on Hunter 44110

There is no real color code for wiring but the standard is red wire to r, yellow wire to y,white wire to w, green wire to g, blue wire to c. since there's no c on your t- stat its probably battery operated, but in your case im betting white wire to w, and blue wire to g.

Replacing a Williamson (White Rogers) Termostat

rh is power for cooling terminal and rh is power for heating terminal connect red wire to rc or rh and there should be a jumper between rc and rh if not install one all other wires are color coded correctly. now the blue wire is not used.
