Question about Microsoft Internet Explorer 7
First you have to determine whether you are actually online. Do this: START, RUN, CMD. At the C: prompt type ipconfig /all. You'll get alot of numbers and letters but the one we're most interested in is default gateway with numbers like 192.168.0.01 etc. If this is very similiare then type PING sony.com at the c: prompt. If you get a message back that says reply ... then you have an internet connection. Now you'll need to get some things before we proceed. Go to a friends computer or the public library and download AVGFREE.exe, MALWAREBYTES.exe and SUPERANTISPYWARE.com. Put these on a flash drive or cd and run them on your computer. This will positively eliminate and bugs or hijacking. Once completed go to START, RUN, CMD and type SFC /scannow at the c: prompt. This program will check and correct all of Window's protected files. Have your original Windows cd's handy because it may ask for them. Once all this is done you should be able to load IE 7 or IE 8. I would get clean copies of these before you attempt this. Again, a friends computer or the public library. Good luck
